View Full Version : [WIP] Miniature Railway. Update 2/4-2009

Hello :) I thought of this set for a long time but i had alot to do so i havent had the time to start it :)
but i have been ill so i had some time today. So i started working on a Miniature railway which will feature both rails and trains.
Im not trying to make something like Odys, my set is alot smaller :)

I know the train isnt very good, i tried to make it as good as i could but i still need some better textures and some more details to the train and the upcoming trains.

Not right now, since it only CS models, i would have to learn to animate in blender, and that will not be right now :)

A small update, I made a DG1200 and a small turn for the tracks.

as you see the railing is recolorable.

Can someone tell me how to make a small smoke, becuase it would look nice if there came smoke from the exhaust :)

Thats some very nice shots :) I can really use them for making some more trains. Though i will first need to finish a couple of more EU trains :) but then i will start making US engines. and thanks ;)

thanks ;) Well right now it will only be CS. It is to small to fit on Rollercoaster tycoon track. And my tracks cant be made to CTR track yet :)

I finished a Baureihe 120 also known as DB 120 :)
I will make a couple of freight wagons and some passanger wagons and then i will make some US engines :)

You should make it so the peeps can ride on top of them. Aka like riding railkit's stuff.

As mentioned before i will only make this a CTR if the ctr creator gets a feature to make our own track.

yea i probably redo the turn, it aint very good :) i also make a larger turn :)

This would be perfect for a big garden - add a good themed coaster, a *huge* garden packed with theming, stalls, and this. It would make me stay glued to the game for hours, and hours... :p

PS: Will you be adding wheels, or animate it?

yep i got the idea from a park in Denmark which has a large garden with alot of trains and some miniature buildings.

it would be hard to control the animations, and wheels will not be added since the trains are so close to the tracks so they would be extremly hard to see, i tried to add wheels but they wouldnt be seen, so it would be some unseen faces.
