A brand new park will be opening this July. South Florida will be a host to the new park of Garden Amusement company's Caribbean Gardens. The park will cover a total of two square miles of vast tropical landscapes, and will celebrate Florida history. With top thrill attractions, and mesmerizing landscapes, Caribbean Gardens will bring visitors from far and abroad to come to this tropical paradise of fun!

Attractions

Coasters:

Hurricane- The largest coaster currently planned, a B&M with two vertical loops, an over-banked turn, a hammerhead turn and, a series of corkscrews and helixes.

SideWinder- A bit smaller in track length than Hurricane, but certainly not lacking the element of thrill. SideWinder contains an butterfly corkscrew, and two regular corkscrews. It also features a mist cave in which it dives into and comes out into a series of helixes.

Cobra- Cobra is one of the most complicated rides being produced at Caribbean Gardens. Cobra is a Zierer brand roller coaster and is the most curvy coaster at the park. You definitely want to empty your pockets and take off your sandals before getting on this one!

Panther- Named after the Florida Panther, this Vekoma special will surely leave you wanting more after you pull into the station.

Swamp Thing- Will be the main attraction in the "Everglades" section of the park. This is the third Vekoma special at the park being built. Swamp Thing is a Inverted two seater, one of the more common Vekoma models.

Flat Rides...

Towering Palms- an S&S brand drop tower.

Observation Tower- a large glass observation tower that allows you to see the park grounds from above.

Okeechobee Rampage- a junior coaster for the kid in all of us.

Tropic Storm- A disk-o type ride that will make you feel like you are in the grasp of a tropical storm.

Old Florida Railway- A historic replica of the old steamliners that used to travel across the Florida Coastlines. The trains make stops at the Old Florida, Florida keys, Everglades, and Caribbean Isles stations.

Looks like some nice plans, but in order to have a thread in the parks section it has to have pics. Still looks good though. Oh, and welcome to the fourms.

^ Well that is half true, only threads with pics in the parks forum. The General Discussion is wrong. It would need to be posted in the Exchange. Again welcome to the forums.

1. Pics with first post, or NOT in Parks
2.If you want this to keep going and stay open I suggest you learn edit and do NOT double post.
3. Also... "Bump" is not acceptable, it's bad netiquette.

You can't force a person to "bump" threads

TheSkipper
03-23-2009, 05:16 PM
You ask them to reply or comment, you don't ask them to "bump".
I delete bumps, and already have.
Besides, a bump is mostly done by the original poster.

Alright, Phase two has been completed and were moving into Phase 3. Here is an overview of the projects that have been completed during Phase 2......enjoy!!!

And yes, form now on all the updates will be done on a computer with a much better graphics card....

Phase 2 Overview...

http://img166.imageshack.us/img166/2439/shot0024.png

One of two buildings that have been completed on the first half of the Old Florida Main Street. Subway and a drink counter have been installed in this building.

http://img19.imageshack.us/img19/5518/photo0000.png

This is the second building on the first half of the Old Florida Main Street. We are currently installing one of the parks main emporiums in here, pics of the interior will be available by Phase 3 update.

http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/5466/shot0034.png

Here's an overview of what's completed of "Main Street" so far. The idea we are going for is the mix of cultures that have settled over time in Florida, so that is why there are two differently themed buildings.

An overview of Main Street.....

Now on to the more exciting stuff....

The anticipated High-g curve.....

Here's what the company will be using for their post construction billboard fillers. The original ride logos will go up a week before opening. Nice view of the high-g curve too....

The water spouts add a nice effect....

Do not double post. Simply PM another member that has posted in your thread or a mod to comment so you can post. Now, the park is looking good so far. I don't really like those overhanging shutters on the 3rd pic to the left. Other than that it looks good, can't wait to see what how you complete this park.

its a mistake post and a pm has already been sent to admins...... dont worry abt it, and the colonial building is still having finishing touches added to it so it will probably look much better completed 100%.....Thanks for the feedback!!!!

All of the same rock, positioned the same way, over and over again... It looks like someone's got a case of the "Meatball Mountain" :haha: Rotate and vary your rocks for a more natural look, instead of a pile of freezer-burnt meatballs.

Also, you're gonna have a big pile of mud in the middle of Hurricane... what's collecting the water from those fountains? And why is the chain-lift motor intersecting the track, ready to derail the train? The layout of the coaster looks pretty amateur and painful. That tight turn after the zero-g roll would bruise some ribs. The supports look like they were rushed. Too many in some spots, then giant gaps of unsupported track.

I did read before posting. I am referring to your pics after the "much better graphics card".

I do believe, my dear little noobie, that you typed, in a large size-4 or -5 font up there that you wanted:

"Feedback people!"

You got it. If you can't handle some constructive criticism.. this REALLY isn't the place for you. I pointed out the flaws that attracted my attention immediately... and even offered suggestions on how to correct them. If that's not being the utmost in helpful, I don't know what is.

Sounds like what you're looking for is some good ole' ego-stroking. Well, let me break it down for ya. Here's how you come across to me in your amazing 16 posts on this forum: You've got this whiz-bang planning organization and trying to sound super professional with everything, but what you're producing just isn't backing up the 'storyline-seriousness' you're trying to portray. You also are quite young, from the looks of your immature response to your first real critique.

There's lots of different folks here willing to give you feedback. Especially if you're asking for it like that. Be careful what you wish for.

If you want someone to tell you it looks amazing and you're the most talented person on the face of this planet, go show it to your mom.

If you want the truth, come show it to us.

cant agree with you more....... i will agree with you, this is my first "project" and yes i am new to the forums. It is only human nature that no one likes to be criticized on anything, but in some ways, more then others, it can be a great thing. In this case, a superb thing. With all that you have said, I now know what i can do to perfect the things that need correcting. Yes i am a noob at this and yes I did sound very childish, but no i am not young, that is the only place you needed correcting..... (i looked at some of your work and its great)

Not bad at all. It's a good start. The logos are may be a bit simple but otherwise it's look good. The only think a bit strange is the water comming from nowhere on your coaster, otherwise it looks good.

Continue like that. Waiting to see more.
