I've had RCT3 for almost a year now and I've been getting CS for about a 1/2 year. I got a lot of cool things and everything was fine. Then I came across this weird set and I DL'd it and it didn't work. I get some weird kind of "No :sms:" message or something similar & the game crashes. Nothing. Even if you scroll over it, it crashes. I removed all the folders of it and it still pops up in the game and I have to be VERY careful on where I move my mouse. Since then, whenever I DL CS, it doesn't work & crashes the game like that weird set.
HELP!

Which set was it that started the problems?

Yeah, we need a little more info besides "this weird set".
was the set in a zip file, rar file, or exe? remember exe's can be virii, that's why I only dl zips and rars.

Sounds fishy.. But It could be a problem with that set. I wouldn't jump straight to virus, but it is possible. But the pack you're talking about. The Creation's pack 3. I just would not use it. Sometimes the download might be broken. Just download and try again.

It was the "Street Elements." I'm not sure which file type. But can you tell me how to get it out of my game?

:SMS, :SVD could be a easy mistake. Go ahead and crash your game and check to see if thats it. (That sounded weird)

Hm. Thats funny, I just got Street Elements a few days ago. Works fine.
But the same thing happened to me because i accidentally extracted it into my "style/vanilla" folder. It would show up in the game but when i moused over it, it would crash and say the "no :svd for :svid" or whatever it is.
So check and make sure its not in the "style/vanilla" folder

Yea I think you mean no:svid blabla, I was never able to remember that thing too so :p
Go to your rct3 directory\style\themed and check if your set is there. If not search it and paste it there. But if it is there go in it and check if there are at least 2 files (a .unique and a .common) and 1 map, if there aren't any files go into the map you see and see if there are any files in there.
Cut the map WITH at least 2 files and 1 map in it to rct3\style\themed and you're ready to go (oo and delete the old map without any files ;) )
If it doesn't work take a screenshot from the crash, then I can may help you a bit better.
