EDIT: This park, at its beginning, was titled "Adventure Kingdom." The name change to "Cradle of Time" took place on 5/18/09.

This is, currently, my new project that I will be devoting most of my RCT3 time to. Yes, that means Maple Valley is nearing its end. The next update(s) will most likely be the Indy POV, then Maple Valley will be over with.
The park will be, obviously, divided into seperately themed "lands" with a main land that will intertwine the different lands into one story. More details will come later, but for now, pictures.

Okay - that's it for now. Sorry for the lackluster intro, I just need to get to bed. I'll explain more in detail as the weekend approaches. Feedback is welcome.

Beautiful. I love just about all of it, but the tower roofs up front don't look too hot. Make the base a little higher and just remove those spires all together, if you ask me...you don't need them.
Looking forward to how this develops!

An excellent start is all i can say right now. Love the castle, except for those two front towers.
Great looking castle. The set you used is perfect. It looks really great nestled up there on the mountain.

Hey guys, I'm here with an update on the park. This update will focus on the small Feudal Village that will be situated behind the smaller castle-type structure and will act as the "Main Street" of the park, as in it will eventually branch off into the differently themed lands.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK9.jpg
An Annual Pass Center has been constructed just outside the entrance.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK8.jpg
Some minor updates on the entrance structure...
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK7.jpg
As you pass through the entrance, the music cross-fades into a peaceful ambiance and medieval music.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK6.jpg
Upon walking a couple more steps, the path opens up to a view of a small feudal village.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK5.jpg
A small eatery promptly titled "Village Market" offers choices such as fruit, vegetables, and other snacks. Enjoy your snack at this small terrace looking over the pond before venturing out into the park.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK4.jpg
The terraforming around the entrance is growing to suit the needs of the growing village behind it.
That's it for tonight, feedback welcome.

I've worked a little more on the Feudal Village. As it progressed, I decided it was going to be the "Main Street" of the park, which leads to the hub. not very original, but it'll do. I've completed most of the facades along the street which house a restaurant and gift shop.

An overall shot of the west side of the Feudal Village

A shot of the west side from another angle, facing the entrance to the park
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK14.jpg
And now an overview.

Nighttime falls on Feudal Village. As guests explore the area, they can find various surprises.

The village glows after dark.

The west side once again after dark.

And looking down the street from the entrance... wait, what's that in the distance? Definitely something original. ;)
That'll do it for this update. Hopefully updates won't be far apart like this all the time, I've just been busy with school and other things. Hope you guys enjoyed, until next time,

Wow RocknGuitar! This is by far one of the best things I've seen from you! That castle is just beautiful. Very Disney-ish. I just have one question: is that little path through the castle the only way to enter the park? It seems like that would get very crowded, very fast.

Thanks. Unfortunately, the attractions will not begin until a few or more updates into the park. The reason for this is, since I want this park to be as high quality as possible, I don't want to instantly jump into the thrills and attractions. I'm going for an Imagineering stlye of building this park. Which is building and establishing the feel of the atmosphere, then adding the rides where the time and place is right. This certainly does not mean rides are not a priority, as that is the main reason most people visit parks. However, you could spend a while simply walking around a Disney park without going on rides and still have a good time. That is what I'm going for here. Hope you understand.
This is really good! You mixed cs in a way that I thought was not even possible!
Thank you! Things do tend do look a lot more different and unique when you mix scenery.
Love this! its amazing! ;)

You're absolutely right, it would add some great life to the village. I will consider this in the future. The path is pretty narrow, so I'll have to find a way to squeeze that sort of thing in somewhere.

Thank you! Although I am not trying to at all copy them, I am going for the feel of a genuine Disney park. :) And yes, that is at the moment the only entrance. I do see why it would be difficult. I'll look into it.

Now this comment just made my day. Menken Mania is perhaps my favorite park to date on these forums, made by my favorite park creator. I think that's awesome this gives you that same feeling, although I hope it's not too similar.:p

Okay, I have accomplished the frightening task of creating the centerpiece of the park, at which the park will eventually stem out from. Hopefully you guys will like it. I also have a basic idea of the storyline for the park. For this reason, some of the pictures may not make sense, because they have to do with the storyline of the park. Don't worry, I will post the story hopefully soon.

The Feudal Village with a first glimpse of the grand centerpiece
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK24.jpg
And a full view of the castle. I tried to make it a little unique so it can have its own personality, yet still give off the same vibe of a medieval castle.

The castle at night. Slightly eerie, yet warming at the same time. Depends on how you look at it.
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK22.jpg
This picture, I'm sorry to say, doesn't make sense to you guys right now, but it is a clue as to what the story is. What do you guys think?

The path leading to the next soon-to-be themed "land"
http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd232/Guitarattict/AK/AK18.jpg
An overview of the park thus far. It has gotten slightly larger than I expected due to the fact this is only the first "land" which is barely a land. You can tell where the other paths will eventually branch off into.
Okay that'll do it for this update. Hope you guys enjoyed. Be sure to give your input on the castle.
Until next time,

I disagree. I think they're plenty wide. If you're going by the overview, I think you might be misled by the use of the path covers.
I'm not so hot on the castle. It looks odd...with one giant spire in the middle. I think you need more to send our eye up to the centerpiece, which is the spire. It's very out of proportion with itself right now.
The rest of it is great, though! You're definitely on your way to creating a certain feeling/concept/theme.

Hey guys, in case you haven't noticed, the park has finally found a permanent name. I think it will define the park more as if develops. Sadly, I do not have any pictures for you today, as I am nearing the end of school and am extremely busy. But I do have a "first draft" of sorts of the park story. Here goes...
~----------------------------------------------------------------------~
There once was a small feudal village nestled in the European countryside. The quiet village never saw major events other than a glimpse of the king or queen, or maybe a small royal parade down the streets. The villagers enjoyed their village exactly like this. No attacks, no worries, just simplicity. There was a steep mass of land and hills around the castle area that created a sort of shelter from the outside world, thus creating an individual community. Located somewhere on these hills, there lived a beginner Sorcerer. Throughout the day his cottage would be shooting sparks or creating some other sort of ruckus. He was always in a very curious state, wondering how various tools worked, or how a spell was conducted. One day he decided his life of questions without answers was over. He decided to conjure up a spell that was so powerful it would make him the wisest being in the land. Not knowing anything about the outside world, thus having no access to sorcery books or teachers, he had almost no concept of how a proper spell was formed. Later, a storm rolled into the small village, disturbing the peaceful setting and creating an ominous feeling the villagers had never felt before. The young sorcerer decided this was the opportune moment to try out his new spell. He hastily gathered all of his ingredients together in a pile of junk and rushed to the top of a small hill surrounding the village, giving him a clear view of the surrounding area. He now had the attention of the villagers below. "Behold!" He proclaimed, "the wisest sorcerer the world has ever known!" A fierce bolt of lightning struck a gigantic oak tree, splitting it in various places. The sorcerer, distracted, launched the spell accidentally. A sudden jolt of energy thrust the sorcerer into the ground, then an enormous shock wave of magical energy surrounded the entire countryside. A fierce wind was blowing as multicolored rays flew through the village. Suddenly, there was a giant flash of white, then silence. The villagers, shaken from this bizarre occurance, slowly examined the surroundings. The tree, split in the middle creating various branches, seemed to point to different directions. The object the branches seemed to point to were large burn holes in the mountainside. What lies beyond the caves? Discover the mystery in the Cradle of Time...

Okay, so I was all ready to diagree with Masked on the spires of the castler. You know, he can't always be right ;) LOL But, I saw the castle without spires and BAM, it's awesome! What a central piece of the park. Stand up job.
I love the closeness of your walkways, it seems to really fit with that period you're going for. Your detail amazes me. I hold you in regard with the finest here on the boards (Masked, N747, Shy, and others). Wonderful job and I'm excited to see an attraction pop in to play if you choose to do one.

Well this was abandoned a while ago and I don't see a future in sight for it, sorry. But I'm glad you liked it, that really amazes me that you rank me among masked, n7, and shy.
