Hi,
I'm working on a remake of the Louvre which I made 3 years ago.
I haven't posted the original Louvre model here on the forums because it was a quite ugly model :D
Maybe I'll release the building this time if anyone is interested. (its a very big model (about 120 x 57 tiles) because its the actual size.
Here are some screenshots

I hope this is not another Google or a model with copywright's...
Other than that... It is quite amazing. And it look's like it would lag like a freight train...

I't isnt a Google model, I've made it from scratch. Some textures are from filterforge. The main Texture here was created from this wikimediafoto: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a5/Cour-carree-du-louvre-vers-louest.jpg

Will you be making this in pieces?
as it would be way more versatile if it were
Gteat model :)
Regarding the lag, i personally would reduce the faces on the arches but other than that it looks like a relatively low poly model :)
Great Job!!

I've made the model in 2 pieces (interior and exterior) but if people want to use parts of the model, I can convert it to a scenery set with pieces.
The model counts 15000 faces now. Maybe it's a too big model for RCT3?

Yeah, its little high poly, but good grief, look at the size of that thing, If you put as many wall's in a park as it would to build that, and the detail piece's such as shyguy's set's. You would have that and maybe more poly's. I know my Dino Land park built months ago had to be pushing 1,000,000 poly's, Due to sheer scenery and detail. It was much bigger than a Sandbox tho..

Harakhty, please do not double post. There is a multi-quote feature to use when quoting more than one person, and an edit button to use if the post is already made. Thanks.

When adding it to the CS list, I can always just make a side note that shadows must be turned off, and the two pieces are only recommended for people with high end computers.

This would be an epic set, if you could break the pieces down to around 200, so that you could build lots of things with that type of texture and style, might take you 2-3 month's to get it going, but it would be well worth it.

Wow, amazing model.
It would be great if you could break this up into constituent pieces, because the walls and such would make some really cool buildings :)
Either way you go with it, good work :)

Thanx for all the comments. I will make a scenery set of the louvre, but first I'll finish my first CS set: Moroccan Dreams.
