I can't get any CS to appear in my game. I'm taking them to D:program files/atari/RCT3/Style/Theme... but they won't appear in my game. That's all I've heard anyone tell everyone to put it there (well, they said C:program files/atari/RCT3/Style/Theme, but my game's saved on my D drive) .
So what am I doing wrong? This is really aggrivating.
Yoy don't mention that you are placing them in a folder on your desktop first.
It is recommended to do that when you download.
For example, I have a folder labelled A1RCT3 Downloads on my desktop.
I unzip everything into that and then drag the folders to another folder. Then other folder is a shortcut I created on my desktop for "Themed".
I have know problems at all. One thing to beware of, though, is that sometimes you need to open the folder before you place it the "theme'
folder and extract the correct folder.
This rarely happens, but you need to be aware of it.
Hope this helps.

Most (if not all) CS sets have a hard coded path from the C drive, based on the default installation of RCT3, and therefore may not work if they are on a different drive.
I'm not 100% sure that this is what's happening, or if Belgabor found a way to make the importer re-code the OVLs to work from any install- but I do remember the C drive vs D drive issue from the early days of CS making (when we were absolutely sure that CS didn't work unless RCT3 was in it's default location).
Newer CS sets might be able to work with an RCT3 install on another drive, so first try one (and only one) released in the past year.
Again, I'm not 100% on this, but I think the C vs D drive could very well be the issue here.

The newer ones don't work, and I've always unzipped them to my documents and copied them over (which had worked when it was on my c drive)

My installation is on E: running about 160 add-ons. Only one doesn't show in the menus and another (from NetOn) causes death by sid. but the CS shows in the menus, if only briefly before expiring. Have you tried going back to the vanilla version and adding CS one at a time and trying the game to see if it works before adding more?
You didn't mention if you had any of the add-ons and/or patches installed. I believe some add-ons require any or all of those things or it all goes pear shaped.

I have the platinum version. Doesn't that already have everything including patches and addons in it? I'm pretty sure it does.
I've tried puting a couple of different things in the vanilla file, but I'm not sure if I did it right. Needless to say, it didn't work. :sour:
I've only tried downloading Mike & Viscosity086's "Slide Cover's, Coaster Tunnel's, And more" and JCat's "steelworx" (which I had before it was moved onto my d) and neither of them worked. Steelworx, if anything should have worked... but no dice.
I guess the only hope is finding where to put it in vanilla then? I really don't think there's anything else that someone else hasn't already told me. :(

In Vanilla mine only let's me go into 1 folder, you're is probly the same, instead of going Style/Theme just go Style/Vanilla. I hate you're having a hard time =(

Again, I'm not 100% on this, but I think the C vs D drive could very well be the issue here.
Well I have installed my game on D:\Games\RollerCoaster Tycoon3 (made a new map, because the drive with my documents on it is pretty full..)
I've installed over 300 sets and they all work..

I feel futile with hearing everyone having 100 plus set's...Why I say am I stuck at 25 or so lol
And I don't think it matters what drive anymore, just the folder.

that's weird. I have multiple files in vanilla. I just put it there in with all of them, and when that didn't work, I tried putting them in with the walls. that didn't work either.
I think I might have to re-install the game. I don't know what else to do.

Yeah, I would recomend that, but just remember all the CS goes into the style/theme folder. Should be no real problem.

yeah. I definitely won't forget how to do it considering I've done it like 50 times in the past week trying to get it t work. lol
YES!!! It worked! lol
I didn't even have to uninstal anything. I decided to try downloading just one more thing before I re-installed my game. I just tried the automatic installer of JCat's Steelworx (but told it to put it in the D drive) and it worked.
Thanks everyone for helping me out.:hat:
