Hello.
First off I want to say I am not an Atari employee. I am a community user with super moderator ability and control on the forums.
I noticed something tonight with a member with the screen name "WTF!!!". That account was banned by me as his posts were flamming and bypassing the in-place swear filter. His/her screen name was also very much not appropriate. I had no other choice but to do the ban. That member is allowed to re-register again, but with an appropriate screen name and improved forum conduct is requested as well.
I am not saying that complaints on the forum aren't permitted, but the complaints and critiques need to be properly done. Having multiple posts ranting and swearing doesn't look good and it impacts the flow of the forum. Having inappropriate screen names is a distraction as well.
I ask that you re-read the forum rules located: CLICK HERE (http://www.ataricommunity.com/forums/faq.php?faq=atargamingrules#faq_atargamingrules2) so that you will understand why I acted, and what really needs to be given heed to when posting on Atari forums.
I hope something materializes for the better for you as a gamer. Do consult your game manuals for help support or refunds if the product does not work for you.
I appreciate the cordiality to continue on in this forum. Thank you for your attention in this matter.

I hope you're kidding right? I just paid atari 57 usd for a product that's not working, and you just banned a guy for swearing????????????????????
Why don't do something about the complaints instead of making this useless post on how you banned someone?
Where is ataris support?

I don't work on game development, but having a person make an account with an inappropriate screen name, plus all the posts were swearing and disruptive, its obvious they need to redirect. We at Atari don't alter screen names for situations like this. I informed he could re-register, but use something more appropriate and post something in a constructive way. I understand the frustration, but as far as the forums go, we still need to maintain a certain amount of civility and order in voicing a complaint.
I have no information on Atari support, as I am not an employee or involved with game development. I just moderate in the forums.
MajorHavoc appears to have responded recently about some of the issues, so he is going to pursue matters from his standpoint. Hopefully we will see a positive resolution for the game patrons.
Please be patient in this process. :)

I realise you're not part of @atari, yet here you are acting as an arbitrator or moderator. I have nothing against you personally, I just don't have the patient you ask for since I used my own hard earned cash to pay for a product that insists it's the wrong serial number/an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.
This forum is almost dead (at least the riddick area) and there's 0 input from @atari except for one thread this major created awhile ago. Being a mod you clearly must have some ideas to resolve this issue, you can't contact atari?
Thank You

I would often send a message if it appeared to be something to raise a concern about, but it appears that MajorHavoc posted a thread yesterday or day before in this forum. It seems he is aware of some of the problems. I will send a message to him, but I can't guarantee any prompt response to you all here. I am hoping there will be some speedy resolution about the issues expressed, but please be patient.

In some posts of this board I explain the connection forcibly closed problem.
Either unplug your modem or mail TAGES support asking for solutions.

WTF? Then as last resort, mail ATARI tech support demanding them that they ask TAGES support to solution the "connection forcibly closed"
And cross your fingers

No thanks, it's sooo obvious atari doesn't give a fck about it's customers, have you seen their "support" section? Just finding a valid email is a pain in the ass, and call their hotline? Brother I live in Europe, can you imagine the billing fee?
I just hope that other thread "riddick wont activate" will help out future customers.
Atari brought riddick DRM/TAGES <--
And another thing how the hell can they charge 57USD for a game you download when you dont own the physical media/box etc, logic states it should be cheaper...a lot
lol this is my 2nd last post :)

The support section really is a joke. And it doesn't even work with IE.

You can get Atari support through Infogrames, which is in France, and they are the parent company since purchasing Atari.
This forum was only created a month ago in advance of release.
Annyone with problems who find a resolution, should assit others when their issue matches one already found. That's how you build a community, not by jumping all over everyone who posts.

There is a support website at http://www.tagesprotection.com/main....activation.htm (http://www.tagesprotection.com/main.htm?page=activation.htm) and a support email address: activsup@tagesprotection.com

Are you joking? Are you honestly joking? Are you telling me you find it hard to understand the anger/frustration you see on these boards
ATARI can go and **** themself for all I care, how about that?
I paid for a product that took me 2 days of spammin the TAGES server just to get a ****ing valid activation and I still can't play multiplayer and I haven't even started on the bugs.
How do you build a community when the foundation leaders (devs, support etc) aren't even responding to their own customers?
ATARI/Starbreeze is getting raped on amazon.com and other sites for having piss poor communitation with it's fans/customers.
This is by far the worst community i've ever seen in my life and you still don't understand the sudden hostillity?
BTW there's no way in hell you can expect anyone to contact INFOGRAMS, were on ****ing ataris homepage thats where we should demand and expect SUPPORT.
Don't take this personal, I realise you're probably only trying to help. it's just that I have 0 respect for any officials involved with ATARI right now. I feel violated a customer not being able to use my product 100%, so excuse my harsh language, it's more aimed towards ATARI/and anyone else who defends the company then yourself :)

You're right, I was just offering help, and the violence of your reply was totally uncalled for. Atari is owned by Infogrames, and Atari U.S. support is almost non existant, which many already know. If you can't discuss things without the poison you may use in the gutter, I suggest you go there or elsewhere.
