Non simultaneous rls dates

can someone please explain to me why the release dates are so far apart? I am absolutely dying to play this game on PC but it seems i have to wait a lot longer than my American counterparts.. plus i am actually an American citizen. Do i really have to move country just to get the benefits of playing this game, or wait weeks..

I have put this in a seperate post as you may want to delete this. To be truthfull, i have actually downloaded a pirate copy of this game and i actually am anticipating a crack. I would be more than happy to right now buy a key from an Atari licenced store but god dam why the wait. You must know that so many sales are going to be lost just from the difference in worldwide rls dates. Is there anywhere i can buy a key?

It's not Atari/Seabreeze fault where you live, and they sure can't know who's a "citizen".....
