Hi.

I have tryed to make some crafting amores but even the system seams to be very easy it also seams to be millions of different combinations and maybe to many different.
I think every body want to have the best they can get for the materials they have collected. Is there not an easyer way to craft, maybe a guide, maybe a small program what can help in the difficult choice :) Maybe someone is more systematic than me what has already figured out how to make this easy.

Silverfall's crafting system looks difficult at first sight but if you use it regularly you will get used to it very soon. I have collected a few tips which I think are useful to get you started:

the first thing you should ask yourself is "what do I need?" - so go through your inventory or check the attributes' menu for a summary

concentrate on 2 features! Example: an elven character does not need to care for protection against black magic because he can protect himself much better via his char skills. So what I do in such a case is I choose protection against physical damage as the primary feature and then I look for protection against elemental attacks (all other elements of the armour I want to craft). I think it's better to go for "+10 % protection against elemental attacks" then "+5 % of A" and "+5 % of B"

always start at the top, i.e. with special nature/tech armour, this saves you time. An exception is the "belt" which offers a great variety of options, so you'll have to scroll through all of the features

general principle: use heavy armour if you need physical protection, light armour if you need protection against magical attacks

crafted weapons are 100% better than anything you can buy at the merchants (incl. unique weapons)

update your crafted items every 10 or 15 levels; give obsolete items to your companions

always use only the best material for your crafted items (2nd cat. mat. if you build stuff for your companions); do not use material from the first category to craft items: go to one of the material exchangers (NPC) first to get 2nd cat. material

bossruns help you to find highest cat. material (but note that bosses are "specialised" in certain materials)

do not invest permanent skill points for crafting - go to one of the skill masters instead and let them help you when you need to craft something (it has a price but if you collect 3 or 4 items beforehand you will not run out of money)

don't forget to enchant your crafted items, this is what makes them so powerful! Backup your save-folder before you start to enchant items, so in case you don't like a spell you can simply return to SF's start menu and restore your savegame via ALT+TAB ...
