Ok so I may be new here but I have been active towards getting multiplayer back for Silverfall. Around 6 emails were dispatched, towards Monte Cristo and to Quazzal and even to Steam. Obviouslly not all of these were answered, they were sent over the last year not all at once but I did recive this email this morning (08 June 2009) after sending one to Monte Cristo last week:

Hi ***

This isn't exactly how the things occured.

We are currently looking at some issues we met recently around Silverfall
and we should hopefully define our position and actions around it in the
coming days.

Oh, just as I remember, after looking at this forum someone recommended that they send emails to Quazal and the reply I got was to direct emails at the game developer (MC) and so if anyone else is wishing to contact Monte Cristo, the email addresses are in the quoted email above, just give them a while to answer.

I got what I wanted from going thru the game once. I may do it again in the future. As far as multiplayer goes, it may have been nice to meet with Brewmaster online but I have to satisfy myself with the walkthru I made for EA. I do believe it was Brewmaster who recently pointed out that several from Monte Cristo left to form their own studio since the direction planned by MC left something to be desired.

P.S. - Thanks for telling those who are interested that Silverfall/EA can be played with Hamachi.

Hi 7rev,

let me first say I really appreciate your efforts concerning Silverfall's MP.

As for the e-mail you received, it is rather vague and its content sounds pretty strange imho (it would not sound strange if the words had been uttered a year ago, lol). Hm, that company has done nothing for the game since the release of EA - so why should they start now? Really strange ...

> some issues we met recently around Silverfall

Maybe they have just realized that SF's MP isn't working anymore? Maybe they are preparing a small patch which removes the online authentication, so that players can host their own regular games without the need of "Hamachi" etc. - uh, forget that ...

> Anyone else noticed the Silverfall website has dissapeared?

Yep, it seems SF's website has been abandoned in the middle of April 2009 (if I remember correctly). A few weeks before that time the page showed a corresponding info message from the webpage hoster requesting the site owner's immediate action.

> What do you think is going to come of this "define our position and actions around it"

At the moment, I believe they have no position at all concerning Silverfall. But ok, let's think positive and wait what's happening "in the coming days". I wouldn't expect too much though.

Edit: Haha, this board has a true "sarcasm"-tag ...?! LOL!

I would love to try MP for this game. Please, keep trying and don't give up on it. If you know a skilled modder, maybe you could find someone who could make an online mod for mp. I know people have done this for other famous online games (i.e. Baldur's Gate 1 still able to be played online).
