Been sitting around the entire night now stuck in the crystal cave.

Killed the boss, triggered the trap etc etc.

Am I missing something? Should there be any portal after killing VSK minions?

I just checked my walkthru, and you have to head onwards to the lizardmen territory. I'd advise finding and killing the Zemiad major demon in the Crystal Forest while you're there.
