"Internet connection required for first-time authentication (connection not required after authentication)"
Instrusive DRM confirmed. Couple that with the fact that there is no multiplayer and the PC version is not worth even $30! I will not support Atari's slap in the face to pc gamers. I changed my order to the 360 version as I still want to support the developer of the game.

I couldn't care less about the DRM but the lack of multiplayer and DLC just killed my purchase of it.

Same here - just canceled my preorder. The same guy is posting more (a file list and the readme file text) today, and the readme file specifically mentions contacting SecuROM support with issues. So it looks like SecuROM and online activation is confirmed, though no word yet on whether installs are "counted".

Be sure to email Terminal Reality, let them know they lost a sale because of this.

I would not be pointing the finger at Terminal Reality as they simply developed the game and didn't have much to do with the multiplayer stuff, I would point my finger at Atari and, ultimately, Sony.
Thanks Atari and SORNY!
.... YOU!

Don't email Terminal Reality. Email Atari. Atari is the one that is in charge of distribution, marketing, and DRM.

Any chance you have an email address for them? Been looking and coming up rather empty.

The sad thing is Atari wont learn from this, they have been screwing customers for ages. The funny thing is they wonder why they are going out of business.

Atari won't listen to the customers, bottom line is its a business and they look at what makes money, not the other way around.

Atari is short sighted, on paper these stupid things they do might seem like it will make them money but the reality of it is they arent.
Its why they couldnt publish the game in Europe, they are bleeding money and sinking like the titanic, They put all their hopes now into a Neverwinter Nights MMO, and its going to sink and Atari will be going out of business.

Might help to pay attention to news: Atari was bought out by its parent company, Infogrames. Infogrames has since changed its name to Atari. They are not some strapped for cash company anymore. They could publish just fine in Europe, but Sony owns Ghostbusters. Atari can not say the name Ghostbusters without going through Sony.

Since when did Infograms have a ton of money?

securom screws people that buy the games, the people who pirate still find ways around the stuff.
I find it pathetic that if you obtain the game legally you get treated like a criminal , where people who obtain it illegaly can get away without any detection for the most part, this is truly an epic fail.
I will not be purchasing p.c. version, especially because the lack of multi/dlc...
Maybe I should sell my ps3 and buy and xbox too.
