[HELP] CS Problem

I have been playing around with importing models in and im now trying to add better textures and im having a few problems.

1) Im having trouble with the recolorable option. It keeps comming out very light. Is there a color that I need to add to the texture to make it work or something else?

2) I am also having trouble with textures multipling. Like this:

See the middle pieces on all the sides, how do I make it so it doesnt multiple like that and is only one. (Ignore the black top to the object, added the wrong thing when importing).

You need to adjust the texture in Sketchup.
*Right click on face*>Texture>Position
Make sure those pins are on the corners of the face.
