New issue, since I put the old gfx card back in, I get through the introduction movie, and have to slide down the pole to meet Ray and Egon in the basement....problem is, Ray is on the garage level, Egon is downstairs just standing there and slimer is doing his thing, I cant get the story to progress, could it just be a graphics card hangup or a more serious issue, anyone else had this problem?

This is the same issue I'm having.

I had this issue when I was in the library. There is a point when the gray ghost fly's through the door and the tables and chairs drop. Then Ray is supposed to kick the door open and you continue after her. Well, when I first went through it Ray was no where to be found and I walked around the library for about an hour while Egon just stood there looking at the door. I gave up, and came back later and restarted from that checkpoint. Ray was magically there and kicked open the door just fine. Hope this doesn't happen with future stages in the game.

Bizarre, I just wonder if it has something to do with an older unsupported graphics card, I have the Radeon HD 4850 coming, the readme says the game was tested and worked with that card, I just realized I have an Intel Pentium D processor, not a 508 but its a dual core, it says the dual core processors are not supported, but if that was to be an issue I suppose I wouldnt be able to play at all.

I've got the Radeon HD4350 since it was in my budget and the thing cleared up the graphics issues I was having but this little bug nugget decided to show its face.

Probably a game bug then, we should probably send tech support our error logs and system information, thats what helps get the patches and fixes out when they can see where the problem is and why its happening.

I had the same problem with Ray not continuing down the stairs. I have a Radeon X1300, which isn't a supported card. By going into the card's settings, I cranked the settings down to one notch shy of highest performance possible, instead of quality. I also changed the game resolution to 800x600. The next time I attempted the first mission, Ray continued down the stairs when I reached him, and I was able to see a little more of the story. After taking my first shot at Slimer though, I couldn't proceed any further.

When I tried cranking the video card settings all the way to performance, I got a texture error when loading my saved game. Changing the settings back didn't help, I just get the texture error every time now. I could try reinstalling the game, but that was a horrible pain thanks to the installer problems.

I might as well just give up until I get a better system. My specs are *almost* good enough to play at the minimum level, but not quite enough obviously.

It's not the card's fault, it's the game's.
