Nothing's actually happened them yet, nuclear weapons and standoffs have happned before.
If there were a nuclear attack it could be considered distasteful but that's not very likely and I'd certainly use the set. I say go for it!

There are many members who dislike war themed objects period. There are many members who like them and play other war themed games. There's also a group in the middle who don't mind as long as you stay away from things that are graphic like dead bodies since that has little to do with an 'amusement' park.
I would suggest staying towards the middle. "Disaster' doesn't always have to equal 'war'. You probably can come up with lot's of things that are kind of generic disaster-type objects that can be used by anyone who has a need for them. Just try not to make things that are distasteful to a lot of people.

I like the idea of broken windows, walls, cars, piles of rubble like brick and wood etc etc. Burned pieces too.

Yeh, burned peices to, like wals and other object for park fires. What about Roller Coaster tracks that are broke for accidents that can just cover track or can be places at the end of the track peice.
Walls with a blown up effect incase a corner of a cafe or something blows up.

It'd be good if you could created a burned alpha texture so it can be placed over other walls. ;) I think the pieces gluesniffa suggested would be a great addition!
