Hey guys! I'm planning a California/Oregon trip for October, and well, I've decided to go Magic mountain! My question is this: What should I do first, are there any must ride coasters( Riddler, X2, etc.) and any to stay away from? Also, in October, will one day be enough to get everything done? It's quite a few coasters, (I believe it's 17, probably like 12-14 worth riding) How crowded will it be that time of year? Also, is the Flash pass gold worth it? (we will have 2 who it might be worth it to get the pass.) Any help is much appreciated. :) Also, any food in the park that is actually good? Or cheap? Like some secret resturant, or some really great blue ice cream? ;) Any help is much appreciated, it'll be only my second trip to a six flags (georgia was the other) and I don't know anything about the park. Thanks so much in advance!

get there early, and then first do tatsu.
once yer finished, head straight to the back of the park and hit terminator.
these two are the best rides in the park hands down, aside from X2, which you should get right after you leave.
after terminator, if you chose, i would head over to goliath, which is a fantastic ride that shouldn't have a long line at this point. from that point, it's yer choice. riddler is a fun ride, but like most B&M standups, it really makes your area quite a bit uncomfortable if you know what I mean. Scream is a really fun ride, but what makes it even better, is that half the people that go to six flags hardly know its there, meaning there is never really a line. and then there's Batman. finished. since it's October, it maybe crowded because of fright fest, so try to get there in early October and you'll turn out fine. the ride ops are actually very impressive. they do their work with enthusiasm, and they're pretty nice. DON'T GO TO THE JOHNNY ROCKETS OR PAPA JOHNS! they are the slowest workers ever, and they make the food very badly, in my opinion. but, like every other amusement park, the food is not cheap. if it turns out to be hot, get a bottle of water and keep refilling it up at the drinking fountain near tatsu, because the water is always cold there. I know this is a lot, but I hope you have a great day there.

Hopefully with Six Flags and their money problems it won't be like this:

thanks jackalope, that should help quite a bit. We actually just rescheduled the trip for early-mid september, so should crowds be better during the week at this time, considering school will have just started up?
About the rides. Scream, I'd like to get on that one, but I've been on Kraken a million jillion times, and I'm aware of the similarities, but I'd like a ride on it. What about Deja Vu? Worth it? (Also, I'm quite looking forward to Tatsu, I'm a huge fan of Manta.)

^^ if youve seen the movie, Clark buys a toy gun to bribe the guard to turn on the rides and the rides are in SFMM!

deja vu is definately worth it, UNLESS there is very long line, since they only run one train. but at the time yer going, i highly doubt it will be crowded. but seriously, deja vu is pretty trippy, and pretty good for a vekoma. ninja is a fun ride, i guess. if youre bored just hike on over there and take a few rides, because there never is a line. superman is not that good. its one of the slowest lines in the park and it is too freakin loud. you dont need do thast one, if you choose. thats about it :p
