Yesterday i travelled to Alton Towers & What a day it was!
It all started at 6.00am Wednesday Morning when i woke up, had a shower, charged the camera etc. Then myself and my dad ventured off to the fantastic theme park, which i would rate better than ANY theme park within the United Kingdom, Alton Towers.
We arrived there at 9.00am and got on the monorail; loved it (:
I have been there before but it just adds more magic every time i visit!
We purchased our tickets but got both of ours half price meaning we only had to pay
£37.00! Wow; just shows what Walkers crisps can do! We had a phonomenal day in the park and i cannot beleive what i went on; i'm normally scared of rides but i did myself proud yesterday! The queue lines were extremley short and most queue lines were 15 minutes, if that. The maximum time we waited was 45 minutes but it was still worth the wait!
We went on:

Air (twice)
Duel
Nemesis
Oblivion (twice)
Rita Queen of speed

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory
Hex
Spinball Whizzer
Runaway Mine Train
The Flume

And we loved every second of them; we also walked to the chained oak; amazing site, i loved it! Unfortunatley our camera died as we got there! However we managed to get some photos during the day; including pictures of the contstruction site for the new ride in 2010!
Please enjoy and comment!

^ Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, awesome ride! Loved the glass elevator!

^ Myself infront of Rita: Queen of Speed! This was intense! I had plastic surgery i think!?

^ My dad acting seriously cool infront of Rita: Queen of Speed!

^ Myself, again infront of Oblivion as it was dropping.
I was scared to death queuing up for this but i must have loved the amazing ride as i went on it twice! Short but sweet!

NOW FOR THE 2010 CONSTRUCTION IMAGES

http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/TheComedyTwinZ/DSC01747.jpg?t=1249559777

^ As we were queing up for Rita; i took this shot. If you look carefully you can see that little work man! (:

http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/TheComedyTwinZ/DSC01748.jpg?t=1249559778

^ The site has lots of holes in the ground. We need some speculation as to what these could be for! The site looks fairly small.

http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/TheComedyTwinZ/DSC01749.jpg?t=1249559780

^ A shot of the huggee hole in the ground! And a work man relaxing on the barriers!

http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/TheComedyTwinZ/DSC01751.jpg?t=1249559782

^ I did however notice the site stretches beyond some trees at the back; that would be for track? And i'm pretty sure those yellow rings are for footers.

http://i463.photobucket.com/albums/qq353/TheComedyTwinZ/DSC01752.jpg?t=1249559784

^ And lastly a big trench was dug around the outside of the site? For piping?

Please don't copy any of the images above.
Those would be copyright to me.

Now for on-ride photos!

Haha sounds like you had fun! I went two years ago, for two days. :P

Soo jealous you got on Oblivion easily - I had 5 failed queues due to it breaking down. -.-

Bad Rita pic btw - you're not meant to hold on! ;)

Oh yeh, how was your experience with Walkers?
Did you have to pay separately to get in half price?

Because there's 4 over 12s in my family and I want to go to Thorpe Park. We've got ample 'points' online - but will we all have to pay separately?

If so, will I have to make us all a Walkers Account and pay for the trip for each of us off the main account?

Also, do you know how many ticket booths there are in Thorpe? lol. I need at least 4 so we can pay in separate ones. ;)

^I think you pay serperatley with walkers.
And i think theres around 8 booths in thorpe? not sure though.

On a 10am day you'll want to get there no later than 9:20 if you're buying tickets on the gate. Trust me, its my local park :D I always print my tickets at home or just buy them at the park the time before.

if you buy walkers crisps packets then you can get a half price adult ticket (we got two) so instead of paying £74 we payed £37
huu-uge saving! and we got there around about 9.00ish (:

there's 8 or 10 booths in thorpe

Great pictures, and thanks for taking them pictures of SW6, its interesting to see how big that hole is.. and why!

-james

^ we did! and thanks, that hole is massive when you're close up to it; but then again is quite small, i'm still debating what it's for!

I'm considering getting an annual pass for Alton next year; if anybody has one, could you tell me what benefits you get from it?

Thanks
