[WIP] T3 - Bowling Alley Set UPDATE!

Working on a new set, for bowling alleys :).

Heres what I have so far.

Heres a few pieces together. (This wont be the full size of bowling lane)

This is the list pieces im going to create.

- The thing that the balls come out of and are stored on.
- Score boards
- Computers to put scores into
- Seats

And some other bowling things :)

Please give suggestions to add to the set.

Looks good , I like the idea, I wish there was a way to make the peeps play!!
Maybe a counter where you rent the shoe's .

How about some shelfs with bowling shoes on? And bowling pins of course! Perhaps two or three different models. One with all the pins standing up. One with 2 or 3 down etc..

I love your seamless wooden texture - very nice. Would you consider making it recolorable and/or making a lighter version?

I'd like to see a shoe rental thingy too. Like a table with shoes on, and also shelves with shoes. :)

Oooo. I'll do the counter with shoes, I'll also do the bowling pins to, I was going to do them anyway :).

I may make them recolourable too.

Should I also do some pieces with gutters up, and the little thing that wipes away the bowling pins ?

Yes , and you need some wall textures like in the real alley for starlight bowling.

**ideas**....Bowling ball rack for peeps to choose from, an animated pin return(the piece that grabs the fallen pins, and slides them towards the back. the mechanical piece that sets up the pins(animated of course) definately a back wall, one regular, and one unlit for night time. bowling ball return station, maybe with a bowling ball or two on it. bowling ball cleaner machine. when or if you can make animated pins falling set it as a loudspeaker so we can get good sound effects of the pins falling down. I do know that somebody had made a bowling alley once, but it wasnt all that in my opinion. Your flooring looks so amazing, and the gutters do too. great start! ;)

What about them things kiddys use to roll the ball dow? Not sure what they're called, but it's (kinda) triangular. The ball goes at the top, and when you let go it rolls down and onto the alley. :)

Did somebody say animated!? hmmmm...i wonder who could do that? I dont know what the triangular piece is, but i do know they make bumpers for little kids to use so the ball dont go into the gutters. They look like a piece of thick, squared, foam covered in a tarp material. I like the pictures above the last couple posts. ;)

hey i have an idea if it is possibe when you make the things for the shoes make them so they will go around the custom stall. that way there is a vender there

^YES,- DKs bowling alley....i didnt know you had one too Terraform, honestly! DKs seemed a bit too blah if you know what i mean, kind of like my sets....

I never saw DK's , I was just showing how I would really be interested in this set . You can see I did make a bowling alley but It was only with the billboards , It would be fun to make one with real equipment , I look forward to this set.

I think i might redo it, it looks quite bulky to be hounest.

You could just "scale the Box part down to where the opening is a bit larger than the ball, Then scale the rack part till it looks proportionate , I don't think you need to redo the whole thing , just rescale it to fit the ball, as long as the ball size is right.

or scale the ball bigger.....the ball looks too small, i know there are different styles but it looks like the ball should be on the side rails, not inside them.

Few segestions from my part.

- I would make the grey thing a little smaller, Compared to this pic it looks a little large?
-Make the balls a little bigger, they look minniture compared to the entire thing, but that could be the look you want? Not sure what size you are going for.
-The support looks a little shaky to support a bunch of heavy bowling balls, perhas one that a littl bigger?

Just something I noticed. Appart from that, all looks good. Good work on the texture for the... the.. umm, wooden runway bowling strip thingy...

Also, I've never been to a bowling alley where there's no underbed on the ball storage. If one of those beams bends or breaks, those balls will go EVERYWHERE!

Primestar, the model I based it on, had bars which looked like that.

I will totally redo this anyway.
