Lets say I am making an object in sketchup, for example a cube. Lets say I want each face to have it's own texture. I cannot group a single face. When I import it all ungrouped faces show as one. How do I get the importer to recognize single face textures (not grouped)?

If you want six different textures, on six different sides,(one texture per face) then you HAVE TO group each face separately, if not then the texture will be very tiny in the game.

You have to select the face then go up to edit> make group. The right click menu does not have that option when you have only one face selected. Thanks

heres how i do it...

when u have your face, draw a line down the middle to make it two faces. Then group those. If u use a diagonal, it will not affect the poly count, because squares are two polys anyway, (because a square is made of two triangles). but if u make two rectangles it will double the poly count (to 4). To fix that, click edit group, and erase the line....

hope that helps.

no....double click on the single face....then right click, group, then right click, entity info, add the texture, add the text, then do the rest the same way.

That's faster! Thanks!

I went into Window -> Preferences, and changed some keyboard shortcuts around. I set my 'G' key to make a group. So I just texture the face, select it, and press 'G'. You might want to add some key shortcuts to make it easier.
