Hello,
I have been searching for a (A)RPG coop game, after playing through several "Diablo-clones" (Dungeon Siege, Titan Quest etc.) and D&D based games (Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights etc.). I skipped Silverfall when it came out, because of bad reviews.
2 years later I read an amazon-review which said that the addon fixed alot of problems and the game has matured since its original release. I ordered 2 copies so I can play it with my wife over LAN, and then I stumbled over this site. Silverfall is no longer supported from Montecristo, the Internet-MP is gone, Silverfall never patched the addon, multiplayer is a hassle, etc. etc.
Did I just buy a game I cannot enjoy? Is it possible for me and my wife to play the campaign over LAN without much problems? I can handle minor bugs and occational crashes. Dungeon Siege had its problems, and Sacred was somewhat playable (the addon had a gamebreaking bug though in the coop campaign), so if the game is atmospheric, I can forgive much.
