Hi there curious topic reader! As you can see I'm new to the forum but not to RCT3. And I've decided it was time I'd make another park.
So hereby I present to you Chi-Fi!

---------Story----------

It's been a year since my father died. He was such an theme-park enthusiast. Yet he still managed to leave me with 23 million dollars. Of which I have no clue on what to do with them.

On a business trip in China me and a colleague were invited by one of the largest Asian transport companies and we were taken there by an helicopter. We flew past an marvelous piece of unpopulated land of about 400 by 400 meters. And then it came to me.

I'm going to use the money I inherited to build a sci-fi theme park!

Below you can see a picture I took from the helicopter.

After I was done with my meeting I went to check out the terrain myself.
Here are some nice shots I've made.

Interesting story, and nice landscape. Please get rid of the horrible Fence around the park, though. ;)

^ Agreed, about the fence. Nice story and nice landscape, but I do think the trees are far too dense. Consider placing more of them.

This might just be a pretty good park. Good luck!

Nice terraforming, but even YOU don't know if this is good enough to post here yet, as there is no park yet! Not to be rude, just I would wait a while before showing a park on here. ;)

^ Actually, it's best to post a little bit at a time, especially if it's just a landscape. The park is built around the landscaping, so if the landscaping is terrible, then so is the park. But this is pretty nice, though! (Read previous post.)

But it is not a park yet. That's all I am saying.

Work a bit more before you post a park. You can't hook people with just a plot of land...

Good terraforming and terra-painting so far. Not much else to see. But it looks good so far for a first park... :)

Didn't get rid of the fences yet. Kinda forgot it while working on an entrance idea and the next plot of the story. :P

Thanks for replying, I will be working on the trees when I get to actually building the park. Remember that the main person in the plot found it like this.

Actually I think it's time to update whenever I think stuff is good enough. So I kinda disagree with you there.

Thanks for responding to his comment. And thanks again for posting!

Well maybe this teaser will suit you.

I just wanted to know if the terraforming was good enough to get working with.

Trees will be better when I actually get working on the real park. Thanks for replying

Thanks for your reply!

-------------------------TEASER-------------------------

Pfoo, this past few months have been insane! However luckily I found a group of people who were willing to help me out. They really came with some good advice, such as not building an sci-fi park. It seems the Asians are not interested in Science-Fiction anymore. So I decided to make a generic park with smaller themed zones.

Also I went to a designing company to work out some logo's. We came up with some nice stuff. Here's the company logo and the new park logo!

The Kanji means Imagination! And I love it!

And this is the park logo!

Also the group of architects I've hired came up with their first sketches of the ticket booth! Tell me what you think of it, I am really interested.

looks nice! detailed, but i really hoped to see an asian themed park:

And I think people youse the main street sets too much, I youse it in every building but I combine it with other sets to make it more of my own.

I like how you give small updates, so we can really concentrate on one thing and give detailed tips and citicsm

succes!!

@ leonidas your hopes have not ended. This was merely a teaser to set things of on the wrong foot! :haha:

And guess what! It's update time!

-----------------------------------------------

Hi everybody! It sure has been a long while since the last updates. I believe 6 months already. And a lot has happened as well.

First of all the Chinese government heard of my plans to make a theme park and they paid for the costs of the entire main street if I would make it Asian themed! So of course I didn't decline. With the small team I'm working right now we got the whole entrance and ticket booth up in 5 months time. The hardest of all was actually programming the ticket line signs. We have two lines for people to buy tickets and two lines to walk ast the line for those who got their rickets online. They only need to activate theirs at the last two booths.

Also my family came by for s surprise visit! I was really surprised by this. We had a great time. They also told me that our dad would be proud with the things I had already accomplished so far. This made me cry a little, not because I was sad though, more of pride.

Ah well, I think you all want to see some progress pictures. So here we go.
This first picture is a picture of the ticket booths.

This is the main entrance building which is fully automated by the use of turnstiles.

This is an small overview shot of the entrance area. Also I forgot to tell that one of the top architects of China designed this!

Here's a shot of the spotlight on the main entrance while looking from the park itself.
