Temerarious Ridge - Terraforming & Bandit - 24.10.2009

Hey Everyone,

So you'd probably of guessed already that i'm new... And thats
this is my new park. Its called Temerarious Ridge for 2 reasons:
One i like the word Ridge and second Temerarious means adventure
and because i didn't like to use the word "adventure" i've used this
instead. So anyway the first type of area is The Badlands. I call it that
just cause its a western type theme and i like the name.

So i'm not an expert at this game,to me that doesn't matter,i'll take on criticism and
comments and use them to help me get better at this but the main thing
is that i'm having fun,i like a park where i've got inspiration for it and i can
enjoy the park while
i still work on it. Thats basically most of what i have to say.
I just hope this parks goes well lol,if not i'll try again but i think i might just stay
with this one right now. Anyways enough of this talking, i don't want this to be a
conversation thread now or a no pics no clicks thread.

As you can see these pics are just focused on the flat ride Jail Break. Currently guests were treated to a preview day just for this ride but for some reason one of them has decided to where a suit bring a little markboard and come his hair,he acts like he's the park's inspector :confused:

Similar to the first,shows the same ride as i said just from a different angle,in the background i've mixed normal game cs and vodhins vermont and shyguy's catfish cove set.

This is a small overview of everything i've just let you see,just like to thank the custom scenery makers and especially ytivarg for his tutorial on queues.

This looks very good! You seem to have a very nice grasp of the sets, using more than just one. I can definitely tell that you are willing to learn and take criticism. Remember that, and you'll do fine here.

A few things you might want to consider. Old-spice's trees and plants are extremely useful, as well as shyguy's rocks. A mix of those two sets would go nicely in that area between the path and the ride.

Again, welcome, and I'm looking forward to seeing more!

I like the theme of the ride and how you didn't just plop it anywhere. I would suggest adding lights, benches and trash bins but not to overdo it. Can we get a screenshot of the park entrance? That's a good way to start a park thread.

Thanks,so i've already got Shyguy's rocks so i've had a go at belnding them in with what i've got already and Old Spices Trees - i have his palm trees set but the Maple Trees...The file isn't there when you go on it,maybe someone could lend me it :p

Yep,i've haven't got round to doing that yet but it will come,thats kinda problem :confused: to be truthful i haven't built the entrance yet,i mostly start off with a ride and build around it,once the entrance is done i'll show you.

Update:

So thanks for the replies everyone and now onto the update. today ill give you some info a this ride,its unique only because the brave can survive.
Story:

Long back in the west when The Badlands had just begun a little rodeo wrestle was setup next to eroded rocks. It was called Gunslinger Rodeo. Many people got hurt from it and those veracious bulls but one was skilled,his name was Jack,Jack Black. He beat every bull that challenged him until one day when he was on those bulls,the eroded rocks collapsed on him. The three other people survived but Jack didn't. Now Gunslinger Rodeo remains there with shattered rocks surrounding it the only worry is now those bulls have returned and Gunslinger Rodeo is back in business.

Seems scary huh! well the park had to tune it down a little since kids decided to joke around and go on it :confused:

Update:

Thanks for the replies everyone and now onto the update! Today i'll be showing you more pics of Gunslinger Rodeo and Jail Break,and also Bandit - the parks first coaster. Bandit is a launched coaster which inspiration came off SaladFingers Lusca and ytivarg's Beacon Point Intamin.

So i'll thank them for the inspiration! although one thing i'm to sure about the ride is the station,that may change so comments on that would be helpful :confused:

Before the train goes into the breakrn it just seems way too undersupported. But other than that it looks great. Jood job, it's nice to see some terraforming too.

You got inpsiration off me? wow:haha: It looks nice from what I can see, i agree that it looks really cool at night. I think the station is fine, it could just be a bit bigger perhaps?
P.s. I think you need some cleaners, there's sick on your path :p

This is really good work for someone new to the site. Top notch actually.

Only thing I can recommend is maybe adding a small border at the bottom of the stone fences where you have the sidewalks. The way it connects to the sidewalk just doesn't look natural.
