I think it went something like "Are these the blank that might be, or will be?"

Scrooge says, "Are these the things that will be, or the things that may be?" He said that before he saw his grave, not after.

The cake is a lie is a reference to Portal, a game for Xbox.

At the beginning of the game, a voice promises you cake, but only if you can complete the tests the put before you, about halfway through the player comes across a wall that says

The cake is a lie
The cake is a lie
The cake is a lie

This means that the promises made to the player are fake, there is no cake.

Spoiler:

At the end, the voice tries to kill you, you see a picture of a piece of cake just as you are about to go into a fiery pit, you escape, kick the voice's ass which happens to be a computer, you get out, you get some cake, yes. Actual cake.

Godzilla19 as The Boy who tells Scrooge it's Christmas
Biollante23 as Scrooge's Wife
RK94 as RK Marley

I've taken the stories of each adaption I've heard and merged them into this...

Note: In #2, Angi had such a headache he slept until Dec. 24th, sorry for not clarifying it in the comic.
