And I accept the roster, I know that there's nothing I can do about it. But it's still flawed, no matter how you look at it.

Lastly, I could care less how "boring" it is for you.. It is fact, I have made models myself for many pc games, and if you don't care how long it takes, and the work that it takes to make just one.. you don't really have a right to have an opinion on how many characters should be in a game.

How can you say this is a good roster? Where are Dabura? Mystic Gohan? Oozaru Vegeta? Saibamen? Cell Jr.? Those are only a few examples.

And yes, I know what you'll do now. State how character X is not needed and give some useless explanation. Fact is, these characters listed above are needed for a complete Z and I care for them. Maybe you don't but I do.
To me Tenkaichi was an excellent fanservice game. How can this game be a good fanservice game with all the cool and important characters missing? I know there are other things to worry about like gameplay. But one of the things that I found cool and unique about the Tenkaichi series was the huge amount of fanservice. The fact that they removed a big part of that is a fairly big con to me.

Every game has flaws, this game is no different. I'm sorry you're not willing to accept my opinion about all of this but that's not my problem man.

Be careful: I'm not saying this game sucks. I don't have it yet but the combat system (judging by the demo) is quite fun and things like online multiplayer and the uniqueness of the characters have tons of potential. But the character roster, one of my favourite things of Tenkaichi, has been reduced to a fairly mediocre one at best and I don't like that.

You are correct about your never stating you wanted 200bazillion characters, I generalized you with the group of people that assumed this game would have the BT3 roster and more, so I apologize for that, and despite what you may think, I do understand that people are upset about not having a roster to fill the whole Z story.

The reason for SSJ3 Broly and Vegeta can be marked up to those that cried about BT3 not having what if characters or a create a character mode.. so to shut them up, they gave them something new.. so I see what they were going for there.. so they ARE trying to please people despite what some seem to think.

I didn't say that you should lower your standards because we are in a new gen of consoles.. I just asked that you understand the amount of work that goes into something as "simple" as a character, before you start to get upset about the lack of characters in a game. I also never stated that the roster is perfect and I to am let down by the loss of some characters, but because I have made models myself, I also understand that all there work can't go into characters otherwise the game would never see the light of day.

1st part: see above

2nd part: Does it have the NEEDED characters that fill out the majority of the story? Yes, that is how I can say the roster is decent for a first game on a new platform.

3rd part: You don't know me, and shouldn't assume that I'll answer you back with a typical "oh well they arn't needed because they were in like half an episode"... I agreed that there are missing characters.. But seeing as how for example, mystic Gohan only had 1 fight, I can understand why they may have passed him in order to get some of the other characters in the game. (Such as the what-if characters that people have cried about for 2 or 3 years now)

Tenkaichi was a good fanservice game, and while this is the spiritual successor to the T series, it isn't a Tenkaichi game, they have had to rework everything and have done there best to give you the new features that people would expect on a new platform while still giving you as many characters as they could squeeze in, in such a sort development time.

Again, don't take this as a "Oh well I think this game is perfect" because it isn't, and only a fool would think such.. I just understand what goes into making the game.

It's not that I'm not willing to accept your opinion, so much as try to get you to look at it from the developers side for just a second, so that maybe it'll give you something to think about and maybe cause you to rethink your opinion... if it doesn't happen, oh well, but you have to see it from their side first.

I don't pretend to know more then I do unlike some.. I have attempted mapping "making a stage" as you call it, and as a beginner I can't figure the thing out, as someone skilled as I have talked to a few, it depends on the size of the map, if things are destructible, if you have "events" (such as the ground breaking, you have to map the event marker so that it activates properly)

Alternate outfits, unless the outfit is just a palate swap, then it's a whole new model... the outfit doesn't go over a naked model.. to many polygons get eaten that way... so for example.. in this game, 6 Goku models were made.

A move, idk, I'm not an animator.. i just make sure models work with the animations in the game.

Try not to be such a bag of the douche variety next time.

Yea, I've noticed.. If it isn't obvious I'm more of a lurker then a poster, until someone doesn't know what they are talking about which is when.. normally I try to help them out and teach them something they don't know, I guess people don't like to learn or something all of a sudden.

Mac pretty much is correct about everything. Except the trade of the Dragonbal gaming rights. Namco Bandai has always been the ones with the rights in japan. Atari only had the rights in US and the only thing they worked on was distribution to the western world. So there never was a liscence change. Namco Bandai wanted Dimps to make DBZ games and they want Spike to make DBZ games. Atari never had a call.

Yes its nothing new and to be honest. don't compare the Roster to BT1 and stages are smaller than RB and less options for combo's plus you all overlook the fact that they only need 1 goku (early, mid, late) or 1 vegeta (scouter, cell, late) then equipt the move you wish to have so that's six characters right there so by using this new system they cut out having different versions with preset moves so you have 2 characters which would have usually been counted as 6

So far we've done one modelling course and a arts course. Now we are going through creative movie making and a mathematics course.
