Hooking 2600 to newer tv?
I have the Atari 2600 that I want to hook up to the tv but it doesn't seem to work. Used to use the old switch box for computer and tv but newer tv doesn't have the kind of connection anymore. Any idea on alternative to getting the game console to work with newer tv?
Sorry, I don't know where else to go to find the answer and hoping someone here have done it and could help me out. |

I am going to move this to the Flashback forum since you might be able to find better help there. If no one responds to you in a few days you might want to try and PM martyg to answer your thread. He knows alot about the Flashback.
Hope this helps, Mattlab |

Should be able to use COAX connection on TV and get a converter from RF to COAX at Radio Shack or something

You'll need something like this.
Very similar to the older switch box you're talking about with the addition of a coax output.

Thanks
Thank you for your help. Should have checked with Radio Shack in the first
place but didn't think they had newer design than the original one. Works great. I know Atari 2600 is old and is nothing like these new game console these days but it has always been my favorite. Again, Thanks! |
