Lamborghini Gallardo Pre-Order Offer -- Help

Please note: We will be updating this message as new information becomes available. Please re-read this message from time to time if you are still affected.

Fast facts:

• The offer enables you to download the Lamborghini Gallardo. However, the car will NOT appear in your garage. The car will be available for purchase at the two Lamborghini dealerships -- Maunalua @ I-12 and Mililani @ F-6. It will cost $165,900 in game dollars.
• Offer available only to residents of the USA & Canada. Your Xbox will not be able to take advantage of this offer if you are outside of this region.
• Tokens were emailed September 13, 2006.
• Only players with tokens can download the car. The car may not be sold to other players, though it can be sold to a dealership for cash.
• Tokens can only be used once. You cannot share tokens with other players.

If you have not received your token:

First check your email service’s spam or junk mail folders -- this email sometimes gets mistaken for spam. If the token is not in spam or junk mail folders:

1. Go to http://www.testdriveunlimited.com/pr...okup_token.php
2. Enter the pre-order code you received from your retailer (EB Games, Gamestop or Game Crazy) and your email address
3. Your token will be displayed on-screen

If you tried the token lookup and got an error message:

Token lookups can sometimes result in this error message: “A token was not found for this email/code combination. Please email webmaster for further assistance.” A bug in an early revision of this entry form resulted in some entries not being saved. If you see this message:

1. Return to http://www.testdriveunlimited.com/presell and re-enter your information (please double-check your TrustCode and email address before submitting; entering incorrect information will delay your receipt of the tokens)
2. Check your email inbox and spam or junk mail folders (it may take up to 24 hours to arrive)

If you still do not receive your token, contact Atari Customer Support for further assistance (link is at the bottom of this message).

To download the car once you have received your token:

1. Go to the Xbox 360 Dashboard
2. Go to the Xbox Live Blade (first tab)
3. Select Xbox Live Marketplace
4. Go to Redeem Code
5. Enter your token
6. You will be taken to the offer screen from which you can download your car

If your token has failed or was deemed invalid:

To date, all of these tokens reported as invalid have actually been successfully redeemed. Once a token has been used, that token cannot be used again. However, you can attempt to re-download/activate the car. Here’s how:

1. Click your Gamercard
2. Select Account Management
3. Select Download History
4. Select Exclusive Pre-Order Lamborghini
5. Click Download Again

Please note that you may need to contact Xbox support for resolution of Marketplace issues.

I assume that once I download the car I actually don't get it. It is just enabled in the game and I still have to purchase it like I do any other car. Is this correct?

i have emailed the web admin and i have posted many time. my code does not work for the look up it gives me a invaild error each time. i would just like my free lambo and get moving on with this but no one wants to help

I agree, I have emailed the "webmaster" twice. No response as of yet. I hope it is due to a flood of emails to the webmaster and not because the webmaster is on vacation or something!

how long does it take around to get an email with the token? I've just registered earlier with my promo code. and have not received an email with the token, and I can't look it up either in the lookup page. =\ what can i do.

I actually got to the point of sending a message to customer support as listed as the last thing to do in this message and all they did was send me back this exact message, word for word. My code us already used and in the system somewhere, it won't let me enter it again and it will not find my token in the lookup. This is really getting annoying.

well its been 4 days now.... I just got the pre order code and I think that went through of course if it takes over 24 hours I will have to send an email about that too.... Well I have at least another couple of weeks to wait for those cars (at least I will most likly get the preorder code not sure about refferal.)

it has been way over 4 days for me. I sent 3 emails to Atariwebmaster & 1 to Atari customer support. Support emails me back with the same info here. I replied & asked if they even read my email because I told them I did everything on this page.

I am getting tired of this!

I WANT MY CODE/TOKEN! PLEASE SOMEONE OUT THERE....HERE MY CRIES OF PAIN!

At this point...Atari should just post the car to download for anyone & save this mess they created!

been 5 days here still nothing nor a reply... Not even going into the problems with my 2 free referral cars... I'm loosing faith in atari fast I even disconnected my Atari 2600 this morning...

I'm confused... based on what I'm reading this code does nothing. What's the difference between going to the lambo dealership and buying the gallardo with or without the code. As I understand it the code does NOT make the car FREE for purchase at the dealership?! So what good is it? Why couldn't I just go straight to the dealership and buy a Gallardo the normal way? What does this code give you that you otherwise wouldn't get by playing the game normally? Am I just crazy?

Please explain?

Apparently the Download lambo is a different model or special edition or something. If you had read the top post you would have seen that you cant buy it normally or from other players without the reedemable code, that might i say, doesnt work. I also have emailed them to no avail.

Uh, I read the top post. The Gallardo and the Gallardo SE are both available for purchase right from the start of the game (providing that you make the trip to the lambo dealership and have enough money)

This 'special' Gallardo better come with airplane wings and a supermodel who rides shotgun with you at all times. Otherwise I'll be totally underwhealmed.

I had to go through gamestop to get my preorder trustcode..
I entered the sweepstakes...
no email of a token...

The referral bonus was a pain but this presell mumbo jumbo is silly.

It has been almost 2 weeks. I sent my pre-order code in the day I pre-ordered the game.

I have followed ALL the steps listed by Atari to receive the token/code & still nothing!!! I resubmitted the info & I emailed Atari!

WHAT THE HECK MUST I DO TO GET MY FREE CAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously... I still don't get it. It's not a free car. All you guys are waiting for Atari to unlock a car in the Lambo dealership that by all extents can already be purchased in the Lambo dealership.

I mean what could this car possibly have that could make it better then the existing Gallardo?

This whole presell thing is confusing the begeezus out of me.

Now if the presell description of the car was: "Gallardo Twin Turbo Nitrous Alcohol funny car" I would say... yes this is a car that you cannot buy without preordering the game.

But all the literature I've read refers to the car specifically as a "Gallardo"

Nothing more. Nothing less.

So long as the game is going to make you pay for it anyway once you walk in to the dealership, why not just go there right now and buy one of the 2 Gallardos already there?

Atari and Eden need to check their literature and be more verbose or at the very least specific about what makes this presell Gallardo that you HAVE TO BUY, any different from the 2 Gallardos that YOU CAN ALREADY BUY.

Note to atari... The presell and the referral cars DO NOT show up in download history as they state they do...

The problem stems from the pre sell and referrals are downloaded as the launch pack the 2 cars plus the 1 or the 2 cars plus the 2 so if you get all youll have the same file with 5 cars

Question is if you have all 5 and redownload the launch pack from history will you still have all 5 cars?
it doesn't move the launch pack to the top as if new or different,

error i made is i have the 5 cars on my MU and 4 cars on the HDD when i copy the save from MU to HDD i still have 4 it will only read the pre sell from the MU even though it's the same save? copied...

Well.. I tried all the "new solutions"...

When I lookup my token I get an invalid email address/code combination error.

When I try to re-enter my information.. I get a code has already been entered error.

My emails to atari as per instructions have not been responded to.

Gamespot points firmly at atari for blame when I call them..

I am in the same boat with how many thousands of pre orderers?

I will continue to whine until I am satisfied with what was promised.
