Horka was more prominent in Q3A and IIRC Tribes than in UT or UT2k3 and wasn't shabby. He was somewhat like Toadwarrior, Gravedigger and BadCRC, also of Unreal-series fame (Bad was also a big Tribes player) who made a lot of noise on the forums they were on and made names for themselves just on that activity alone.
I sorta missed out on Horka's big wave here in the Unreal community on these forums but I caught bits of it here and there between the different forums.

But I suppose they need to let Max Payne 2 sales drop a little first. They had a result with the HL2 delay, but I guess the marketing guys figure its better to release in a month without any other big releases ie. Max Payne 2. Some kind of response would be nice though. Anything really, just for the PR value. Epic, You have always been known for your active community spirit. Dont you realise that many, many people view these forums. Even more so now the 2k4 demo/game is iminent. A little response from you would cause a flood of good PR. Guys, the demo is coming. When we get within a week or so believe me there will be lots of announcements. Right now we are just working as hard and as fast as possible. Giving any type of "date" at this moment would just end up being wrong. When we near the release, you won't be able to keep Mark out of here. It's hard to give you a estimate at what % we are at other than we are dealing with the final and most difficult 10%. Have patience. The more time it takes the better the game. Let's not rush it.

How can UT2004 be delayed if they ever really set a date for it? LOL, I mean the only way to say it is delayed is if it is comming out late spring or something.

Demo eh... thats good news... how many maps shall we expect... same as the 2k3 which was I think 5 maps 2 DM's 1 CTF, 1 BR and 1 DDOM....
I believe I am correct in assuming we shall see no signs of Assualt or Onslaught in the demo but it makes sense... keep the best for last.... But one thing I think is the hype... its not so much as 2k3... hehe I remember those funny pics people made while waiting for the demo... like Mark Rein in place of frodo holding a cd instead of a ring and the background text " One Demo to Rule them ALL"... good stuff there more with Cliff in them others with pics of a protest rally with banners demanding the 2k3 demo... ah those were the days wonder if that site is around somewhere... none the less good to hear from Epic.... One question will the Epic Staff be making any IRC apperances soon to discuss the demo if so PLZ let us know in advance most of the time I was somewhere else or wathcing tv

I expect the demo to come with two Ons maps, two DM maps and maybe a CTF map. What's a demo made for? To show off. UT2k4's biggest new feature is vehicles and new uncluttered maps, and that sounds like a good way to show it off.
