Hmm, well if its gonna be released in a year or 2, then I think they should try and up the polys. Its pretty annoying to see a none spherical head. In that way Doom 3 is annoying. Looks great but the polys lie.

/me hopes for a smooth world in the next unreal engine

These are just tech demos though, aren't they?(Actually I think most couldn't be even classed as a tech demo, more of a cutscene type thing)

Designed to show off the possibilities of the engine, and not to reflect what games running on the engine will look like.

Well do keep in mind that d3 was meant to run on machines with geforce 3 cards and xbox. That new unreal engine will require way way more.

Agreed it's dark and linear but don't go pissing on an otherwise good game, I'm still enjoying the screams in the dark with 5.1 sound.

I'm not upgrading my GeForce 4 for Doom3/HL2 but I will for this I thinl (if I try to play a UE3 game on that card it will probably blow up anyway lol).

By the way, I think I remember reading in an interview with CliffyB (I don't remember where) that there will be another UT game at some point.

By the looks of the screenshots, and the effect from the Unreal engine 3 demo, people will be forced to upgrade if they want sweet eyecandy.

Hope it runs well, visuals and all with 6800/X800. Looks like they might be the next target for upgrades.
