AS-Thrust Version 2

Name: AS-Thrustv2
Version: 2
Compatibility: UT2004 3270
Description: New and improved version of AS-Thrust.

Superficially it's pretty similar to the original, though I spent a very long time perfecting the gameplay, botplay, checking for exploits, perfecting the sound and visual effects, and optimizing performance.

And, of course, this time you get to blow stuff up in addition to launching giant rockets. Have fun.

I love you and want to be the father of your children...wait...did I just say that? Thanks for remaking a great AS map and making it even better it really helps the AS community. Hope you make some more work in the future because I think you got some very good talent.

Once again thanks for the map.

I will provide feedback after I play the map for awhile!

I'll probably leave feed-back later.

Downloading it now??
(Allways liked AS-Thrust)

The only gripe i would have at the mo,will be two versions of it now.
(as the first one comes in the cbp)

Maybe this one done in a night time scene might be better imho.
Then they will both look kinda differnt to eatch other...

Anyway great job:-)

Well well another cool AS map and it's Thrust no less ... well I did always like this but did want to see exactly those changes you made ...especially the bot issues since I only play IA ... now this is going to be a really great CBP2 map!!! Yeah! Thanks for making those improvements. I'm downloading it now!

Less arguments and just bottomline feedback. You either like it or you don't and you know I bet for some devs thats all they really need to hear because a: Everyone likes to hear when their work is liked no matter how short the comment and b: if you don't like someone's work and they really are into it themselves then what you say doesn't really matter and c) there are more than enough *cough* (me included huh? ) critics ... good or bad ... to go into lengthy commentaries.

Yeah I totally get you now and I like your approach ... when I move on over to the Doom 3 and HL2 forums (H2 as well I guess) that's the approach I'm going to adpot. I'm tired of all the fuss as well. Peace and keep on doing what you do .

Great job dude, on everything. A nice, fun, albeit a bit easy, assault map.

Well TBH I wasn't a big fan of the level to start with and it still doesn't really appeal to me, but coming from someone who makes niche maps that are pretty widely hated that's probably a complement
It's a good improvement from before, though, and a great map in general, despite my own preferences. Nice to see you carry through with making the map better.

ACC I liked Cirban ... I know you remember that. I was one of the first ones to check it out and we kind of disagreed (not in a big way at all ... on the intro or was it the lack of laying explosives) anyway we had a cool discussion about it and I don't remember parting ways with any animosity. Maybe I read something wrong. So why is it that you hate us IA players so much that you would make a really nice AS map (and you know there is not enough out there) and not share it with us IAers. I know it's your map I totally respect that and I know if I want a good assault map go learn to map ... yeah yeah I know. I'm not getting on you or demanding anything. I just don't understand why you won't take fans of your work like me into consideration. That's all ... Peace. I won't say I'm not sorry that I won't be able to enjoy your latest work but so be it ... I'm not a person who is into being angry with someone over something like this ... I'm just a bit disappointed is all.

Congratulations on being a finalist in the MSU AS mapping contest.

Good luck down the homestretch. At least you listened to suggestions and look at where it got you. Otherwise if you don't listen to comments/suggestions and incorporate at least some of them in your map you end up with an HM (which is still good). Peace.

Thanks Anuban.

I'm really hoping to place this time, especially since I polished that map excessively.

Congratulations on taking first place in the MSUC ... this is one really great map and I have actually been playing this one on Inhuman a lot lately and just losing by like a minute to the bots ... excellent work all the way around. Looks like all that polishing you did paid off! You really deserved to win ... don't spend all that cash in one place.

Tynan, you won for the AS category? (Going to check the main page after this). I can't say I'm surprised. This was the first quality AS custum map to come out, and even after several other great ones have come out, this remains the cream of the crop. Looks fabulous, plays well (though I still don't like the floor by the rocket being shoot-through-able).
