Spontaneous casting question

For clerics and druids, when they spontaneously cast a cure/inflict spell or summon natures ally (for druids), is there a choice in which prepared spell gets lost in return? (like in PnP)
Or is it essentially random (which sucks)?

If you can choose, how does it work on the menu?
Ctrl-click a specific spell of a given level and get your spontaneous spell in return, or something similar?

Given the immense detail I've seen present so far from the game information I have collected I would say you get to select the spell you wish to spontaneously cast, much like IWD 2.

Having a spell picked at random, or in chronological order as per NWN is incredibly irritating, so if it works like this I will be deeply saddened.

However, I am optimistic.

while the radial menu is open, holding down the SHIFT key will "transform" all spells to their appropriate spontaneous version (if possible - i.e. you can't spontaneous domain spells).

Well this is wonderful news indeed that we are getting actual spontaneous casting, as opposed to spontaneous casting simply removing whatever spell is next in chronological order.
