Ooooh, that sour face made his post look a little grumpy...must be disillusioned with the whole "Six Flags Fanboy" thing...I don't see that working out too well for anyone...

Why is it that the CF fanspeoples must always crack on some one that like SF? The main reason I talk about SFMM is that it is really the closest park to me. I think you all need to get off the soap box and quit the bolgna with the SF fans.

I'm sorry, no offense intended, really. Unfortunately the only Six Flags park I've been to is WOA and that just gave me way too much to complain about...don't worry about it was a joke not meant to condemn every SF park or person who likes them

heh heh.. well now i wasnt quite ripping on him i was just saying "Ok Six Flags person" but i guess that does sound like that, i was just callin him that, see you have to understand before we had SFWoA we had Geagua Lake and Sea World right next to eachother GL wasnt that bad of a park, i liked goin there and Sea World well its Sea World, when your a kid its fun. Then SF bought Geagua Lake... then Sea World, and combined the two to make WoA.... i feel it went downhill ever since, the only coaster i feel thats good there is X-Flight...

Ok forgiven.
Now to make a slight correction to the Sea World thing. SF did not buy Sea World the park was closed before SF bought the AREA that was Sea World. I don't recall if it was the last owners of Sea World or the current beer slingers that closed the park. The big problem that Sea World had in Ohio was that for a park like that to really work you need to be open all year. With Ohio's winters the park would close, but they still had a very high operating cost even in the off season. The animals still have to eat everyday, and the trainers and medical staff still have to take care of them. |

I'm not exactly sure that you're correct about that Sea World statement. Sea World of Ohio was very definitely open during the 2000 season, which is the year that Geauga Lake became Six Flags Ohio. For 2001, Sea World of Ohio was purchased by Six Flags, creating the transformation into Six Flags Worlds of Annoyance, er, Adventure. There was quite a bit in the news about the fact that Sea World did NOT sell the two killer whales -- they moved the whales to other Sea World locations, thereby leaving Six Flags with the problem of trying to get the permits for their own killer whales.
The sale was concluded during the off-season, hence Sea World was closed for the winter, but they definitely had not hung out a "going out of business" sign. They had even already sold some season passes for 2001. During the 2001 season, there were signs posted around the Six Flags property indicating what would happen with the Sea World season passes.
