What's the Gnolam's Homeworld?

I'm at the end of my first game on Hard and I am looking for all the Guardian worlds to clear a path. I have found, Ursa, Altair, Nazin and Draconis. I can't find Fieras and then it dawned on me, I think there is only five guardians in a game. So I guess the game picks 5 out of the 6 each game? If so Fieras may not be in the game this time and I do not know what the Gnolam home world was. Was it Mentat? I don't want to miss one, I found the 5th X under the last one. I also got the 1st X when I conquered a Psilon world so I am thinking they must have taken out a guardian which is probably the Gnolam world.
Did I guess right?

I've seen Gnol show up as a regular non-Guardian world as well; it's possilbe that Fieras is just out of your reach or hidden by another Guardian.

What game would be fun if you were unable to do something truely evil?

The Bonehead Play-by-Play Caller. Games called play-by-play:
1: Assault on Orion 2: Eoladi (Condensed version) 3: Human 4: Nommo 5: Cynoid 6: Unliving (Psilon) 7: The Summer of Love Experience (Tachidi) 8: The Winter of Our Discontent (Grendarl)
Read it now! The PopToad Experience (Evon)

IIRC, there will only be 1 "X" held by a guardian, and even thats not a garuntee. Each guardian has a 20% chance of holding an "X" but after one has been found, the other guardians WILL NOT have one. At least, I think thats the way it works.

AI empires will send out expeditions, they can steal an "X" or gain it through ground combat.

I didn't know the AI sent out expeditions. That could explain how the Psilons got one. I found one under a guardian in the game. No Fieras though. Is the number of Guardians per game always 5? If so wouldn't there be one race always missing? Altair, Ursa, Draconis, Fieras, Gnol?(Is that really the name of the Gnolam world?) and Nazin.

What do you think?
Thanks,

--Noah

There *are* always 5 guardians, I just don't think that all the former homeworlds get a guardian. It's probably random, though I admit that I've never really "kept tabs" on it.

And yes, Gnol really is the Gnolam homeworld.

I just found Gnol again this new game and no guardian and its too early for the AI to have taken it out. Maybe Gnol never has a guardian?

Thanks for the confirmation on Gnol and the 5 guardians.
