This bring me such good memories....
When i did my first parks in Forest Frontiers and did a Desert Land with cactus and the log flume...
And my favourite park, Diamond Heghts, with arachnophobia, claustrophobia..., all the coasters in this land had the name of different phobias. And its also the park were I saw for first time a duelling coaster (the little mine trains) in RCT. And the other duelling coasters, the black one (that went underground) and the white one (that went always over the ground), and they fight going through the loop. They were fantastic.
I have a question: Which type of coaster is the black/white duelling one? It was my favourite type and I would like to use it again in RCT3.

I want to download this parks, they were so good.
Continue with the good job, mikeworley.

This was a hard one to copy but worth it. To ride the phobia coasters in 3D is great.
You shouldn't have to struggle with these, unless the track importer was acting up.

Anyways, looks great. Except I though the fencing to the right of the entrance of forest frontiers was abit off, maybe not, I'm not sure.

In RCT1 it was called the 'Steel Roller Coaster'. Now it is called "Looping Roller Coaster'.

'Forest Frontiers 3D' is up for download now!

No, the track importer was a life saver! I meant getting the land just right. I was able to import all the track rides except one into the game. The junior coaster had a piece of track no longer in the game so I had to rebuild it from scratch with just a minor change at the end.

I think that might be because of the trees. there were tree around that area in the original. Anyway, I added more trees maybe it'll look better now. I don't think it's off I counted the fence square by square from the original game.

Thanks for the input

I thought RCT1 was better than RCT2, but RCT3 trumps them all.

This is good work. I just played Forest Frontiers again for about an hour with this. The only thing I didn't like was some of the stuff you research, like the themed shops. They didn't have these in the old RCTs and it took away from the nostalgia. Otherwise, great job. Can't wait to see Diamond Heights!

I agree. I originally wanted to put the research items in the same order as the original, but you can't specify order of research in RCT3. Adding to the problem, some of the RCT1 scenarios have the Info Kiosk as the first item researched. This doesn't work in RCT3 as sometimes you have to research all the stalls before the Info Kiosk comes up. So I made the Info Kiosk available from the start and through everything else in research.

I guess I could take out all the non-RCT1 stuff, but I wanted to leave some walls in there to compensate for not having tunnels.

Feel free to leave in the walls and stuff. I just don't like the new themed stalls in there. You can leave the scenery items (well, some of them at least) and just try to leave only things that were from the first or second game. Just give us things from RCT 3 that we'd use, like the walls.

That one's called 'Evergreen Gardens'. Yes, I like that as well. It seems most people like one or more of the first six:

1. Forest Frontiers
2. Dynamite Dunes
3. Leafy Lakes
4. Diamond Heights
5. Evergreen Gardens
6. Bumbly Beach

I hope to get around to porting all of these.
Well, off to Bumbly Beach!

OMG, the phobias in 3D, you are a god.
does claustrophobia use Mavis' tunnels trick, is is it just buried in cutaways?
And the same for Snake River Falls(?) and Arachnophobia

No, I didn't want to use any hacks for the tunnels since some people might have trouble with it. I covered the tunnels with scenery as best I could and it works OK.

Anyway, check it out and let me know.

YOU FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT ONE!

phew!

Karts and Coasters! That was the best stock game scenario ever! I love the woodies and karts in it! That has to be recreated!. Great job on Diamond Heights.

You're right, I did forget about that one! Noted.

Since I haven't actually gotten any requests for 'Dynamite Dunes' maybe I'll do 'Karts and Coasters' instead (first).

Thanks StevenJ

Yes! I used to play Arid Heights alot. I used it for a sandbox, since the park was big and money was unlimited!

'Bumbly Beach' is almost done! Interesting notes:

When I imported the wooden coaster it loaded fine except it was a SPIRAL coaster!?! I had to copy it track by track back to a wooden coaster and speed up the incline so it would make it to the first drop. Now it works fine.

All those years of playing this scenario, I never paid much attention to the town. There is actually alot to it. This game file is already twice as big as 'Diamond Heights'!

Yeah, Arid Heights was my fav. senerio in the LL expansion pack. I took it over to RCT2 just so I could play it with the new features. X-D

I basicly used it as a RCT1/2 version of sandbox mode.

The only problem now is, Arid Heights had great land formations to make rides on, & I dont know how to make good land formations without making them look poor. So I am set in sandbox mode with flat land & a flat park.

Mike,

Nice job on the scenario recreations! Keep up the good work, it looks like a lot of people enjoy them.

Orlando eh? I live in Oviedo, FL, real close to you!

No one mentioned my favorite scenario. I believe it was called Rotting Heights. It was an abandoned park that you had to resurrect. The idea of buying and old abandoned amusment park and having to fixe it up and expand on it was fun. I ended up turning it into a huge park, with historic roots.

I remember the coaster had track pieces missing and everything was painted grey. The paths were missing and things were all vandalized. I rebuilt the coaster using the track pieces that were left.

I wish there were more of those abandoned park scenarios with old broken down rides and overgrown landscaping.
