Very nice tables. If you're looking for ideas to expand this pack, a re-colourable round table with a striped, multi-coloured sun umbrella would be perfect for eating ice cream on those hot summer days. (or just leave the table white and make the umbrella stripes re-colourable)

Keep up the good work!

These are already done, I just have a few other things to finish up & they'll be ready to go.

There's some slight texture distortion at the table edge, also the round tables above probably use too many polygons (at least compared to the ones on the bottom) other than that, looking pretty good.

Edit: sorry about the polygon thing, the 2nd pics were frorm someone else.

Thanks, but I'm pretty sure the round ones have less polygons than the ones in Disfan's pic. His look very nice, but if you'll notice how they're really "round" looking. That takes a lot of verticies/polygons to make it like that.

walkingsnake:

I know the texture on the rectangle table looks different than the circular one. I used the same texture, so I don't know what happened. I'm guessing it's just because they are different shapes. It doesn't bother me.

I believe it's because you didn't set the texture mapping cordinates in the 3D program incorrectly. The Texture is being applied to the side of the table and stretched along the top, rather than applied to the top.

You also might want to use the marble benches, see if it looks better because the wooden ones just look odd. (and kind of dark compared to the wood) BTW, how did you make the wood? (just curious since I suck at making those textures)

Looking pretty good, but it seems like maybe you neglected to do any mapping on the table pedestals? Seems like the grain should run vertically rather than horizontally. Maybe it's just me.

Impressive.

If we save these in a park, will we be able to port it with the park so that it can be opened on someone else's machine? Or will they need to re-import the scenery?

Those do look cool.

For Sci Fi textures on tables, suggest using the elevated path texture to get the open mesh type tables most common.

The other person will have to install the scenery set before opening the park. If they open it without installing the custom scenery, the park should load OK but the custom objects will not appear.

This happens with all the custom scenery packs, not just these cool-looking tables.

Marnetmar: Sorry, I forgot that you were already working on tables with sun umbrellas!

Re-Colorable Table

I want to make a recolorable table set, but I don't know how.

Could someone quickly explain how to go about making an item that can be re-colored in the game. I've never made an object like that before

Do you still have to texture it?

P.S. I am currently working on Adventure and another future table!

Thanks

There's a pdf file inside the zip file of the scenery importer. It explains it all.
