Disneyland Custom Scenery Set

Hi all,

Im trying to create a Disneyland custom scenery set. I have managed to create 3D models of Sleeping Beauty Castle and Space Mountain using Sketch-UP then converting them to 3DS files etc etc.

My problem is I have no idea about textures and I've tried importing them into RCT but they never turn out right.
I was wondering if anyone would like to team up and try and make these available, I can email the 3D files to be converted into a custom scenery set?

I've added an image below which shows the 3D files Ive done so far!

thanks!

Spacemtuk

WOW!

Those sketches are beautiful! I'd be willing to try to texture and import them into RCT3. But I can't offer a guarentee. Just E-mail me the 3DS files.

What is Sketch-up? Is it free for download?

Hey! I've used sketch-up before! We learned to use it in computer class in school. It is really cool.

Maybe you could split the models up into individual pieces so people could make custom versions? They're great as they are, though.

make sure that you make the space mountain big enought so it can fit a coarster track.

also, can you make a speedramp(put in spaces so we can put stairs on the ramp areas)and a balcony area

I am trying to make disney scenery too! I'm working on some of the props from pirates of the carribean... So far right now im building a skeleton model (since they have a lot of them in the ride) so i can place it in other stuff...but this sketchup program...i forgot about it! you can import into milkshape and 3dstudio with it! And its super easy to make large things with it.... and the polygons arent to bad actually. We should maybe put our heads together and see what we can come up with spacemtuk!

Sorry,

I have tried importing these into the game but with no luck. The problem I run into is the texturing.

Since the models were made in Sketch-up, they are one entire face. So when you apply a texture to a roof, it apply's to the whole model. There is no way to texture different parts of the model. That's where I'm stuck.

It is because 3DS model in sketchup, you need to separate faces then you can select each face. but I will recommend not, it will took you so long time to separate layers each side and high likely it might not work well cos too much polygons.

Can you make both a 29 square diameter Space Mountain and a 19 diameter Space Mountain? And if you do one, can you just do the 29 square one?

Plus, it may be smarter to just do the cone part.

But anyway, here is a really good pic of Space Mountain.

Oh my god! I didn't know so many pleople were working on Custom Disney objects!!! This is great! I really hope you can make it work!
PLeaaaaaaaaaaase team up with Spacemtuk I love his Castle and spacemountain!!!!
I wish I could help but I don't know anyhting about creating in 3D

And Like everyone else said, you really should make them in seperate pieces and big enough for coasters! And never thought of making the Space mountain from Disney Land Paris? it looks waaaaaaaaaaaay cooler than the plain white building, but maybe allot harder to create!
Anyhow i really like what you got so far! keep up the good work!

I bookmarked this page, wouldn't want to miss anything!

I've been using Sketch up 5 and, texturing the model then, importing it into Milkshape has become way easier. if you need any help give me a shout.
