Request : Plain Glass

all i would like a plane paine of glass with no frames dnt matter if its not re colourable. can n e 1 help?

No, not without frames.
Someone (don't remember who) tried this but didn't get satisfying results. Don't know if he gave up.

They gave up because of the dreaded x-ray effect... And I don't think we'll find out how to get rid of that effect for a while.

The x-ray effect is solved.
There were problems with the glass not looking properly from certain directions.

So, if there's a frame on the glass then the verteces stay where they're supposed to (the 'strange artifacts' don't appear), right? I just got an idea that, if that's the case, perhaps we could trick the game engine into thinking that there's a frame, perhaps by adding a frame and then applying an alpha texture to make it transparent. I just wanted to see if I'm not completely crazy with that idea before I tried it out...

Also, I think the x-ray effect has been solved for glass. Something about setting a special unknown when using the SIglass setting, I think.
