help with installing custom scenery

my computer will not allow me to extract custom scenery into my themed folder. it tells me i dont have acess, or something. how can i beat this? i really need pitch black walls!

It sounds like you need administrative access to your computer, Windows XP. Do you have different accounts set up on the computer?

yah i do. thanks, that probably solved the problem. nivce dark ride scenart by the way, that was my 2nd choice.

that didnt work. i remember it said something like- you are not granted acsess into C:, ....... . it is really frustrating me. So is this stupid earthlink toolbar on my internet. anyone know how to fix that?

I agree, it sounds like you are still not the Admin. Do you have another account that 'is' already the Admin? I'm not sure, but I think you have to be logged into an Admin account to change the Admin status for all of the other accounts.

gargh. i went to control panel and made all other accounts on my computer limited acess, and tried again. no luck. This is the exact message, it is stuck in my brain.

Unable to acsess C; .......

anyone else have this problem. it comes when i press unzip. by the way, i tried more scenary packs, so its not just pumper's darkride.

I don't know if this will work or not aennilQ, but try & see if you can run the exe to extract to your desktop instead of the style/themed folder. Just change the location with the "browse" button when the box pops up after double clicking the exe.
If that works, you can then copy/paste the theme folder to the style/themed folder in the game.
