Icon9 Br-Intense pack

Name: BR-Intense pack
Version: 1.0
Compatibility: UT2004
Description: A BR map pack containing 5 new small, fast paced BR maps.
Ideal for 4-6 players, the map gameplay is inspired on BR-Lowgrav instagib maps, but it also plays well with standard weapons.

Downloading... :]

EDIT: BR-GravityKills was great for normal play, the rest was pretty much boring in normal weapons play.

I like arkmusic.ogg by the way. ^______^

I did this and could have stopped it, but nothing in nature ever follows a gaussian curve. Sure, they'll tell you that it does. They say that every five minutes someone dies in a car accident, but how often are there seven hundred and sixty one armless and legless corpses in one hangar?

C'mon, you know better than that, 'Spadge! Give the guy some feedback as to how to make specific maps better. What elements of the maps made them seem boring? And, while we're at it, boring how? Perfect defense, not enough interaction? Spamfest spawnfests?

Mappers love constructive feedback!

Alrighty then. ^__^

BR-CrioStation: I guess this one wasn't as bad, however, it's hard to score a 7 when bots respawn, take a shock rifle and combo you in less than two seconds. Humans are probably even more crazy when coming to this. I don't mind shock rifles at the spawn place, but it could be better to arrange it like this: http://img300.imageshack.us/img300/6...uuuhghz9li.gif
BR-Delirium: Too open, even though the jump pads help, i didn't get close to the base often.
BR-Inferno: Same thing here i guess.
BR-SubZero: While it wasn't as open as the above, i fell into the water all the time. It's also frustrating to fall into the water instead of making 7 points because i jumped a bit to early, maybe increasing the pitch would help. Also, the bots probably think: "I'm sweaty! I should take a bath now!" all the time. It is funny to watch though.

BR-GravityKills: Ack, i liked this map, the only thing i found weird was how high you fly when going on the jump pads.

Arkmusic.ogg: I DEMAND MORE!

Just tested the link, it's online now.
BTW, is there any permanent free host where I could also upload the pack?

About the maps, the bots are lame, I must admit. Although I did try to make some pathnodes for them, they simply don't seem to do anything good. I think it's also a game AI problem, as even in stock maps it's really boring to play with bots. Just about 1 second after you translocate in front of them they pass the ball to you, no matter if you are 1 step from the goal, or surronded by 5 enemies.
Playing with humans on these maps are far better

If you are playing these maps online, I would suggest not using the translocator, the gameflow gets really nice like this, and much more tactical with intense action.
