Shadow Ops - Red Mercury Master Server Online!

Greetings all,

Sunday, July 2nd, the Shadow Ops - Red Mercury master server has come back online. The biggest change is in the IP address. You will need to configure your DEFAULT.INI and RM.INI files located in the C:\Program Files\Atari\Shadow Ops Red Mercury\System folder, unless you have installed the game elsewhere.

1. Open both of those files with Notepad or another text editor and search for the [IpDrv.MasterServerLink] section. (It is approximately 3/4 of the way down the files.)

2. There are 2 entries in that section you need to change:
MasterServerAddress[0]=208.67.49.200
MasterServerAddress[1]=208.67.49.200

3. Once those are changed, save both files.

4. Restart the game. When you select Join Internet Game, you should now see servers again.

NOTE: While we are up and running, we are still testing some server configurations. Please be aware that there may be occasional, unscheduled (hopefully short) outages over the next few days.

Hello, that now make six day that the Europe master server of Shadow ops does not go any more and after several request, always no news thus seen that often occurs in the year with periods taking from 2 days to 2 months, it is necessary to stop taking us for stupid and to start taking us much more seriously. This evening I will block all the sections and forum with the problem of the Shadow Ops masterserver.

Everytime the masterserver crashes, we try to get in touch with your services and we never get any answers.It always takes weeks before you say anything and in the meantime, people get pissed off at you because of your ******* attitude, treating us all like if we did not exist. I am sure you have more respect for your **** when you defecate.Well guess what? We are not your ****. We are buyers who got schemed by your ****ty masterserver. You are not even able to make a reliable service that wont crash.What do you pay your programmers for? To make sure your clients are as pissed off as can be? Well it sure works.One more thing.. You may ban me as often as you want, I will always find a way to come back and rot your like like hell ! So you will now have to spend your life banning me. I dont give a ****. I want the masterserver back and as long as it is offline, I will spend all my free time spoiling and rotting your damn useless forum.

That's enough actaruslolo1. Atari is short of manpower and working on the problem. There is a thread in the Unofficial Tech Support forum which is where the action is in terms of updates on the issue. If you can't follow the rules though you will be banned, including an i.p. ban. Thanks.

According that there is no official Shadow Ops Thread, I posted where I could with the hope to catch someone's attention. I admit that my method was a little hard, but hey... it worked, we finally got an answer
Knowing that this is at least the 3rd failure of Shadow Ops masterserver this year, including a 2 month period during the summer, you must understand that the situation is very hard on Shados Ops gamers.
I am sorry that I went a little bit over the line but the fact that we did not receive any answers is in part responsible for that and the summer failure is another.
I lost a lot of money because of those failures and I do blame Atari for that, like many Shadow Ops gamers.

Sorry for the inconvenience, I promess to stay put as long as I get news from Atari.

Well, as he's counting his spamming of the entire forum (including making hacking threats and a number of clone accounts which were gradually banned [in fact, these last posts have been from the latest of the line of clone accounts]) as a victory, you realise that unless you IP ban him, he's just going to keep doing this every time something happens that he doesn't like.

Actually, I do "take you as stupid". Anyone who acts as you have today, threatening the forums, creating multiple accounts just so you can make a complaint, and generally acting like a child, should be banned on a permanent basis. Your pathetic behaviour has angered a lot of people, but hopefully, an IP ban is just a click away, and we won't have to put up with your threats and spam any more...

Guys, dont pay any attention to the little brat. He is just picking quarrel at Actarus.

If we play his game, we give him more attention than he deserves.

Right now, all the folk is doing it try to make Actarys angy with the hope that he will really go over the line and get banned. So the more we react, the more he marks points.

Just ignore him, that will be the best punishment.

Not at all. He made no less than four clone accounts and went on a spamming spree around the forums.

When each clone was banned, his next one would say something along the lines of "I'll be back and you can't stop me", "I'll flood the boards until I get what I want", "I'll hack the boards until I get what I want" and threatening to hack users who asked him to stop. Well if you reach the minimum number of 8 registered players very soon, you might then be interested into joining the S.O.R.M. League :

Your clan must count at least 8 players to register. League begins October 20th and you cannot register past that date.
