*There are a total of Sixteen (16) areas to choose from.

Game Modes
*There are a total of Nine(9) Game Modes.
*The list of game modes are Story Mode, Ultimate Battle, World Tournament, Dueling, Evolution Z, History, Options, and Training Mode.

Number of Players
*One (1) to Two (2) players.

Tag Team Information
*Players can have up to two team members and can simply change characters by pressing the L3 button.
*It has been said many times that you can do a three vs. two match, which means there would be handicap matches but this has yet to be confirmed.

Alternate Costumes
*Each character has at least two costumes, yet some may have more.
*Some characters have color changes instead of a different costume.

Transformations
*Not every character has a transformation.
*If characters have a transformation, the character at least has one.
*Characters can simply transform if they have a transformation by pressing the R3 button.
*Players have the ability to choose their characters in any of the characters transformation to start off with for the battle.

*This Mode is for people that have never heard of Dragonball Z but wanted to give it a try.

*This Mode allows you to enter your passwords here.
*You can also put in your Budokai 3 passwords here too.

Training Mode
*This mode allows you to practice your fighting skills on another character.
*This also is a mode for you to learn how to play the game.

Dueling
*This Mode is for having a match versus a computer or a friend.
*You can also access the Battle Settings here which include: Duel Time, Com Level, Life Guage, Item Found, Referee, and Transformation Available.

Zenie
*This is a type of money which allows you to buy new skills or items.
*You can also change the battle settings here.

Z-items
*These items are for adding new moves, health(senzu bean), or battle armor.
*There are four different types of Z-items which include; Ability, Special, Fusion, and Secret.

MAX POWER!
*This mode is accessed by charging up your energy up to full.
*Your blast moves will do 20% more damage and also, you will be able to pull off certain Smash and Rush combos only in Max Power mode.
*Also in Max Power Mode Press Square continuosly and it will let you perform the Gekiretsu Rush.
*Also in Max Power Mode Press L2 + X Triangle and it will let you perform Dragon Heavy attack.(Which is really helpful against Giant Characters)
*Also in Max Power Mode if you press L2 + X Triangle Square (wait) Triangle L2 + Triangle it will let you perform a Max Power Combo, which starts off as a rush combo and in the end, you pull off a finishing Blast Move.
*Also in Max Power Mode if you press L2 + Square and any directional button it will let you perform Hyper Smash.

World Tournament
*This Mode is for players that want either a Novice, Medium, or Advanced challenge.
*This mode allows you to earn a certain amount of Zenie for each mode.
*You can also access the Cell Games here which is an Advanced free for all tournament.
*It is either when you access the World Tournament here or in Story Mode where Bojack will have his tournament.

Options
*This mode allows you to change the volume, game options, and many more features.
*You can also access the Store here to purchase Z-items with the gathered Zenie you have earned.

Instant Transmission
*This can be done by pressing the R2 and the X button while the opponent is flying away.

Missions
*Missions are accessed through Story Mode, these are small games you have to play to advance to some places such as Climb Korin`s Tower.

*Extra*
*If you have a Budokai Tenkaichi save file on your memory card, you get 100,000 Zenie free.

Regarding Dragon Ball characters and characters that can't fly.
*Tao Pai Pai, Master Roshi, Kid Goku, Yajirobe, Grandpa Gohan
*They can 'fly' kind of. But it's only for 10 seconds. After they lift off the ground, they fall back down 10 seconds later.

Ok folks, I hope this helps all those guys struggling with the the Evolution Z mode. Below is a detailed list of most of the capsules available in Budokai Tenkaichi 2. Below that list is another list which contains the recipes for characters and transformations. And below that list is a numerical chart, courtesy of Magnus86, which easily identifies which slots go together. For example, purple capsule slot #10 + green capsule # 12=whoever. This is epecially helpful for those of us with the Japanese import. And finally, there's a brief explanation on how to unlock all 3 what if scenerios.

If GT Goku makes it he'll probably have Golden Oozaru as a transformation instead of SSJ2 since he never fought in that state.

Artificial 17 is fine as an alternate costume for No. 17. The only difference between them was a coat. Better to just have it in than not.

I wouldn't bother having SSJ2 for young Goku; he only used it as a powering up stage to SSJ3 anyways.

Goten and Trunks' aren't SSJ2, despite the funky pink lightning Toei throws in at random.

I still say that having GT Gohan as a seperate character would be a waste, he would just be a weaker version of DBZ Gohan. He should just be a alternate costume for DBZ Gohan, and if staying true to the storyline is that important to some people, they can just choose not to use the Elder Kaioshin's power up.

Rild needs to be in, and maybe the Sigma Cannon. I wouldn't even mind if the Sigma Force was added as seperate characters, though I can do without it.

Dr. Mu needs to be in, just throw him in as an alt. costume for Dr. Gero.

That wouldn't be fair to Vegeta then, Goku being able to transform into SSJ4 and Vegeta not. I say SSJ, SSJ3, Golden oozaru for GT Goku. And if they add GT Vegeta the SSJ, SSJ2, and Golden Oozaru

You know how they show cutscenes when you transform like it shows Android 13 absorbing chips, it could show Bulma using the Blutz Wave on Vegeta and then he's SS4.

Lightning appears at random times (mostly when characters are possesed by Baby), but Goten and Trunks were not SSJ2. It says no such thing in the DB Perfect File.

Just like how Nail can use a Makankôsappô? (Special Beam Cannon) It didn't stop them from adding Nail as an alternate costume for Piccolo in Budokai 1, 2, & 3.
