Hi guys, it's Michele from Italy and I just bought this game, but after installing it, I press new to create a character and it exit directly to my desktop without visible errors on the desktop itself.
I have a PC 4800x2 with 2gb RAM, a video card Sapphire x1900xt 256mb with driver Omega 6.09, latest directX installed from the game's DVD, 80gb of PATA hard disk, 2 dvd, floppy disk, some fan, power supply Tagan U35 600w.
So I patch it with the 1.11 and the result is the same.
What I've to do to play this game?

Few questions that my help (based on French version bug reports):

• did you have any CRC errors while installing?
• Do you have NOD32 as an antivirus?

There's a known (but unexplained) issue with NOD32: it blocks some files during installation, and can lead to the issue you're having. If you have NOD32, be sure to completely disable it during installation (disabling the service, not only closing the GUI) and try reinstalling.

If you got CRC errors during install, you can try installing the game in failsafe mode and/or copying the DVD to your hard drive and install from hard drive.

By the way, at least for French version, there's a 1.12 patch now

PS: there's something I wonder since I know that the game has been released in Italy and Spain: is it a French version or is the game localized in Italian?

First answer, YES I've NOD32 so I've to disable services not only close the center! Ok, I'll try in the afternoon. And no CRC errors, only back to desktop!
Second answer, it's completely written in Italian, but I don't know how's the game (ITA-FRA-ENG) language when played. I'll let you know.

Hi, i'm Riccardo from Italy and i got same troubles of Salsero: when i try to start the game or create a character the game crash and take me to desktop.

Here my system:
Intel E6800 cd
Nvidia 8800
4 gb of memory
latest directx

same crash on a
AMD Athlon XP 4000+
ATI X1900XT
2 gb of memory

ti rispondo prima in ITA e poi traduco. Se hai questo problema, disattiva da NOD32 tutti i servizi: AMON, IMON, ecc... poi chiudi il NOD32. Ora sei pronto per l'installazione. Una volta installato così ti appare il filmato iniziale e lo schermo da grigio/verde iniziale ti apparirà come deve essere!

Hi Riccardo, it's Michele. I found the solution in another forum: youo've to disable NOD32 services before shutting down the program itself then you can install the game and play it without problems. You can apply also patch 1.11 or 1.12 (that have 1.11 on it).
