Hi All! Gizmos has been updated! Follow the link below
![]() This is just the start of new, animated gizmos for your park. Right now, this set has just two pieces- a chain lift motor for wooden coasters (pictured above), and a Bullwheel (was the start of the other piece). There's still some issues to resolve before an official release, like getting the chain to animate (the wheels already do). I'll have it figured out and add a few more pieces over the new month.... More To Come ![]()

Ah, but this is not the first- I've made animated stip lights and an animated X-Mas decoration which use the same technique- the texture applied to the object is animate, not the model itself. This works really nicely.
For real animated scenery- TheCook has already accomplished this: look for his Animated Doors- which not only take the prize as the first animated scenery- but are also fully functional ride events that can be triggered by the cars on a track ![]()

Ah yes, I'd forgotten your lights.. ![]() I use the Cooks doors (they rock!) I thought that a ride event worked different than just a regular piece of scenery that could go anywhere.. shows what I know.. ![]() Well your project is still awesome! |

This set is really good, I was wondering though,
are you going to do the lift chain wheel as a ride event (if possible) |

Wait just a dog gone minute! Is this real animation? Like Cook's doors? Or is it just those darn tricky animated textures?

I like, I like. What am i saying i LOVE!!! Quicki though, when you say the model is animated only the texture, do you mean that you have just got an animated picture and set it as the texture? Don't have to ask my question a i will proberly never work out how to CS but was curious.
Great Work, Joe!

Yeah i've been thinking with animated textures one could do nearly any animation (with enough time and effort!). Oh, and yes, great work Vodhin!

ah, I have been waiting for something like this. Even though I do not really make coasters that often.

looks excellent vodhin
as for the chain, the game came with a shared chain lift texture, like what you used for the lights you made. im guessing it would work, and would be animated, unless you're allready using it. ![]() |

Animated textures don't work like that. You have to give a separate file for every different frame. You can then assemble the animation referencing these frames.
