Your Favorite Hayao Miyazaki film

Tell what is your favorite Hayao Miyazaki directed film and explain why it is.

Here is a list:

The Castle of Cagliostro
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind
Castle in the Sky
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Porco Rosso
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Howl's Moving Castle

Mine is Kiki's Delivery Service, because it is such a heartwarming and overall fantastic story. The English dubbed version is perhaps the best English dubbed Anime ever. I personally think that this film should have won an Academy Award, but they did not have that category yet.

Is there a film about a cat kingdom and stuff? A girl who rescued a cat which turns out the cat is a prince. Then a group of cats appeared at her home, and takes the girl to a cat kingdom.

I like it not only it made me love cats, but also the ending music is really good to hear.

EDIT: The maker of the film is Hayao Miyazaki himself.

The Cat Returns is probably the film you are discussing. I forgot to add that & Whisper Of The Heart to the list.

Mystic Gohan please say why you enjoy Castle In The Sky.

You didn't post all his movies; you actually left out alot of them.

I used to make lots of Miyazaki threads in the Dbz CC, I'm a frikin' die hard Miyazaki fan. But my favorite is Spirited Away. In my opinion, it's without doubt his best story ever.

Ewwwww, how do you guys like Kiki? I thought that was his worst movie ever.

I like castle in the sky because it seemed the purest in my opinion and I loved the overall mystically presentation of the film as in all of Miyazaki-sensei's works.

I said the Films he Directed. That is the list, here it is again:

The Castle of Cagliostro
Nausicaä of the Valley of the Winds
Castle in the Sky
My Neighbor Totoro
Kiki's Delivery Service
Princess Mononoke
Spirited Away
Porco Rosso
Howl's Moving Castle

That's all of them according to IMDB. He did direct several TV series episodes, but those are not feature length films.

He probably allready has a "Lifetime Achievement Award" in Japan.

well looks like you may have some english identification errors. Eric is not a "ma'am". You should say "Eric" or "EricDent" or "guy" or something like this.

Though it looks like you all have a good interests in Miyazaki, strangely though I never got off into it, but I shall start to explore more about this anime creationist.

Princess Monoke all the way. It's what got me hooked and it's still my favorite. though Howl's Moving Castle was definitely second.

Please respond with a real reason WHY you enjoy the film. Not just something like "It was cool", but at least 2 sentences.
