Maybe SILVERFALL.EXE dislike your Core 2 Duo. Try assigning it to one CPU only.

I run both cores for my c2d and have had no lockup problems at all. I have experienced my character occasionally getting "stuck" on certain terrain features .. I save -- quit to the menu and restart. That way no progress is lost.

Do you still get this problem with a new character?
Also, try opening up the map and simply teleporting somewhere to see if that fixes you up.

I noticed that the Silverfall demo had some problems adressing the shaders of my ATI X800 (R420) correctly. It did not chrash, but it showed lots of white dots. I downgraded the shader quality in the demo settings to get this problem solved. Give it a try... |

Thanks ... But the shaders for both ATi crossfire and Nvidia 8800 gtx are not an issue for me. My character occasionally gets "stuck" on certain terrain features (rocks, sides of hills, etc). When I try to move (mouse, mini-map), the character "jitters" to attempt to move, but can't. The game does not lock (I can save the game, quit to the menu, etc), every option is still available expect for the movement of the character.

Yes, I noticed these kind of lockups as well, especially with 4 chars around and in the moutains. But I managed to move the NPC away, so I never get stuck.
