Elves
can you vist the elves inthe demo if so how do i get there? also how do i getto the person i need to talk to about the zepplin airstrip

Guendion -- Welcome to the Atari Community !!! If it is the elves in the beginning of the demo .. After complete the first mission (kill the zombies), return and complete the quest with your conversation. Go back to the same character, and accept the next quest mission -- the direction arrow/marker for the elves should be on the map.

do i have to go through a cave to get to them?

The airstrip side quest can not be completed in the demo because you can not reach Cloudworks city. There is another technology side job in the elven village, however.
