Test Drive Unlimited PC Patch

Atari confirm that Eden are currently working on a patch for the PC version of Test Drive Unlimited which will be available in May. With the patch Eden are working to address the following issues:
  • Corrupted saved games (previously corrupted save games will not be restored)
  • Game freezing / crashes
  • Performance optimization
  • In-game exploits
The patch will undergo thorough testing at Eden and Atari prior to release to ensure the quality. Further information will be available in due course.

Thank you for playing Test Drive Unlimited!

UPDATE 06/07/07: PC Patch will now be available mid to late June. This will also patch the Digital Download version. I can only apologise for the extra delay but can assure you its on its way

Ciel's Edit:

UPDATE 06/29/07: PC patch in its final stages of testing. A release date is not confirmed yet. For more information, see this post.

This is good news, I hope it was just an oversight that you didn't mention fixing the Club functionality online.

Nothing about controller issues? The game won't even start with a microsoft wheel connected.
Is this a new way of selling wheels?

In May!? What do you have like 3 people working on it? C'mon, you released a shotty product and even if you fix what is said, I'm sure you'll break six or seven other things in the process.

I have a feelings its gonna be May, then June, then wait July... then never and we're out $49.99.

Right On!
I hope it fixes some of the stutters i get(optimization).
yeah games dont seem to really save when it says Please wait, Saving... untill you quit the game, and if you drop connection sometimes all you did that session is lost.

Right on, fix those damn cheats!

Thanks, take care.

Good news! Thanks!
A patch sounds good here,I can wait. A little more performance optimization would be welcomed! But not having any big issues at the moment.

I looked around the forum here a bit but didn't find any mention of when downloadable content would become available as well like the Cars Packs of the Lamborghini Countach and Lexus's and other's for the PC version.

"In May" for Atari usually means you'll get a "postponed" announcement in the last week of May.

Can u b a little more specific on the performance optimization bit im at tha point where i either wait for a patch that will fix the awsome stutering or i flog the game 2 some unsuspecting sucker on e bay .dont get me wrong the game looks like it would b verry good i wouldn't have bought it otherwise IT'S JUST UNPLAYABLE. and yes i meet the so caled min specs on the box it should work. Please please please those of us who have spent our hard earned cash on this game deserve a little more than the above message .give us something to keep hanging on with something that would make the may sometime possible date even slightly less agrovating

I just got into the game and it said there was a new version of TDU and that I must download the update to play online. When I say yes to download it I get taken to http://none/ which is coming up with the page cannot be displayed.

Where can I download the patch from? I want to continue playing the game.

Using a NoCD Patch by chance? As it will do it with that plus all your cars in the showrooms will be 10x their normal price.

A note: May has 31 days, it's never going to be right at the start, have patience.

I can confirm that the patch is still coming in case anyone was worried... I know that our QA team is working on it...

Also in case anyone was wondering... The same patch should theoretically work for both the Retail version and the Box Product version of the game. Rest assured we are throughly testing this out to confirm but this is preliminary news that I wanted to share.

Lastly once the patch is out it will be posted on atarisupport.com

Regards,
Matt

SKYLINE?

So when do we get the add on cars like the skyline??? 360 have had them for ages and quite a few more add on cars.....

Thought these would be implemented in the first patch...

Game worked perfect for me until it corrupted my profile which had a lot of hours/days put into it. Pretty annoying
