If Porsche ever comes out they need to unleash this as a tuning option: http://videos.streetfire.net/video/99975657-d978-4d53-a77e-992300ea92a6.htm

EA has all the rights to Porsche game usage at the moment. This is why we only get cars like RUF.

Not all Rufs are tuned Porsches. Ruf has a line of cars where they just buy bodies from Porsche and put their own engine and such into it.
But also, thats not a Porsche anymore. Its a Gemballa Mirage. Basically the same thing as turning a Porsche into a Ruf. Except that thing has 1000hp. |

That is very strange indeed. There are no Porsches in Gran Turismo at all. Porsche must have given some leeway in terms of licensing it seems....with Forza.

i have a major problem with the Gemballa Mirage GT. when i fisrt heard Gemballa had a 1000hp, gullwing door, veyron smashing porsche GT in the works, i was expecting a absolute daddy of hypercars to be on its way.
then they released in a few months ago, and it definetly looked the part, minus the gullwing doors...but what really ticked me off was that they'd only boosted power by like 30hp, instead of the original 400hp they first said. if theres one car they should put in TDU it would have to be the Koenigsegg CCX (with a tuning option to turn it into the 1004hp CCXR they unveiled a few weeks ago) |

the ccxr has 1018 hp with e85 biofuel which is more efficient and cleanest. The Gemballa Mirage GT is being tuned currently to be put to 1000hp by a single turbo or maybe twinturbo. I read about this in Makes and Models mag.

All the engines from RUF are from Porsche. They are all based on the 3,600cc engine (100.0mm x 76.4mm) with sometimes an enlarged bore. This engine's basic design has been first built with those specifications in 1989 with the 964 Carrera 4. The design is nowadays in use in the GT3. |

Actually, Gemballa is in no way connected with Porsche, they just exclusively tune Porsches. So technically you could get the Gemballa license without needing the Porsche. But they wouldn't be able to put Carrera GT in the name due to Porsche licensing, so it would be a Gemballa Mirage.

see this is where most people get confused... EA has SOME rights to Porsche but do not have full rights over Porsche in the gaming industry, they would have to pay an amazingly large amount of money just so they can put them in a few of there games, EA barely even uses Porsche anymore... why Atari didnt include them i dont know but I doubt that descision had anything to do with EA

WHOA
thre is a reason that video is in DUBAI...only people that live there can afford or want such a car. as far as i know EA owned the rights to porsche..but hey there is always a bright light..ferrari never wanted to license its cars out and we have them. well at least in gran turismo now. this gaem needa variety of cars to rival gran turismo or forza...

Isn't Forza a Microsoft game? They probably put some pressure on EA so they could use Porsche models in the game. Something like if you don't let us use Porsche then we won't help you with pre-releases of our OS's for testing.
