Welcome to the new Dragonball Z Game Series Suggestion Thread! This thread has been created to have one central place for all idea's and suggestions regarding DBZ games. However in this new thread, there are some rules you have to follow. In this thread, everyone will be allowed to make just 1 post. If you make a second post, third post, fourth, etc. post in this thread, your post(s) will be deleted, without a warning. This is the only way to prevent threads getting as big as the current suggestion thread now is. So, you will be limited to 50.000 characters for your idea's, or you have to type out your idea's in a Word document and upload it if you have an idea that's bigger then 50.000 characters. Of course, you will still be able to edit your post at any time. I also want to advise you to use some kind of easy to read layout in your post. Wall-o-text kind of posts are hard to read so please try to make chapters like ''character list'' or ''Story mode idea's'' for example. If you want to reply to someone's idea's which they posted in the new suggestion thread, you have to go to this thread and discuss it there. You can't reply by making a second post, because I will delete it. I know this sounds harsh but it's the only way we can have a suggestion thread that doesn't get a couple of thousand posts and which nobody will read. This way it will also be easier for Atari to read your idea's without having to scroll trough dozens of pages. If you have questions and / or suggestions feel free to PM me, or one of the other DBZ mods. The Ultimate DBZ Game (For PS3)
(Free-Roaming RPG) - The game begins a year before the destruction of Planet Vegeta. - You assume the life of either an Earthling, Saiyan, or Namek. You can customize your character with much depth. - An Earthling starts out on Earth, a Saiyan on Planet Vegeta, and a Namek on Planet Namek. These are just where the characters begin, so you’ll shortly be able to travel to other planets. - Every decision the player makes along with the outcome to every battle initiates the next sequence in the story, thus allowing the player to create his/her own story. (If this is too difficult to make then just a brand new original storyline where each race has a different perspective and impact would do.) - Saiyans would start out working for Frieza while conquering planets for him. Nameks would start out under the guidance of Guru while defending Planet Namek from any evil threat. Earthlings can either train under Master Roshi or Kami while also defending Earth from any evil threat. Or you could join forces with evil and become a tyrant. - Each planet is very large and would take a while to fly across even at full speed. The planets would be done like GTA (completely seamless), civilians would roam the towns and strong fighters would be training amongst every planet for you to seek and challenge. Each planet would have a Day/Night system except Planet Namek ofcourse. Everything would be destructible and civilians could be killed for the players that choose to be evil. Stores, shops, bars, etc, could be entered. Side-quests would be plenty. - The battles are done seamlessly on the free-roaming map thus making the whole world your arena, but are fought just like previous Tenkaichi games except with next-generation physics and effects. - Some of the many things in battle that have yet to be included in a Budokai/Tenkaichi game that would add realism towards the anime would be: - When powering up, the ground should implode, lightning should strike, blow, rocks and pebbles should elevate from the ground, and shockwaves should pulse from your character. Obviously starting out this might not even happen, but once your character becomes stronger this will happen more and more noticeably. - If a character is sent flying to the ground a crater would be created. - While in a beam struggle each player should be able to send out more power every 7 or 8 seconds to lengthen the struggle and send it back and forth while the character lets out a loud scream each time. - If an energy wave is shot at you and you can’t dodge it you must try to hold it back and eventually overpower it otherwise it would blow up in your face, but if you’re much stronger than your enemy you could just swat it away or let it hit you because it would cause barely any damage, and vice versa. - Every character in the game including NPCs have power levels. - Saiyans can be equipped with scouters to read the specific power level of every character. It can also pick up strong power levels on its own while the player is exploring. Plus it would function as a transmitter to speak with Frieza, his henchmen, and your Saiyan squad (unless you choose to just work alone.) - Earthlings and Nameks can not be equipped with a scouter unless one is taken from either a Saiyan, Frieza's henchmen of Frieza himself. So they must use their sense to roughly pick up the height of every power level and to sense the strong power level of a nearby fighter when one is nearby. - You can have your character train at any time to increase his/her power level. This includes training in the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to save time while a villain is causing destruction or training at heavier gravity to speed up the rate of power level increase. As you train you can see your power level rise before your eyes. Your power level is always visible throughout the game. - As you progress your power level will rise and it will rise more rapidly the higher it gets. This can be done through training or battles. If Saiyans are KO’d or were near death in battle the rejuvenation chamber or a senzu bean would increase your power level immensely. - After a character is defeated the fight is not quite over. Instead the loser is in a very weak state where the opposition could then decide to either vaporize him/her and send them to the next dimension or to spare his/her life (KO). This goes for both you and your enemies. The only enemies that would vaporize you would be the major villains and the extremely insane enemies you encounter along the way. If you chose to be evil and killed many civilians then a noble enemy might either decide to kill you or spare your life. (The latter happening more often) - If you were killed you would be taken to the check-in station in which you’d have to run Snake Way. If your character was noble you would have the privilege to seek King Kai’s training (once you are stronger you could seek Grand Kai‘s training), but if not your character would be sent to HELL. Then you must wait shortly until you are wished back. You would go through all of this because you should always train before every battle with a major villain and thus you would never be in a position to lose. Plus, battles with major villains would be few and far between. - If your character is KO’d or just badly beaten (even though you won) you could use the rejuvenation chamber, a senzu bean, or healing from Guru. If you weren’t damaged much you would regain your full health in a short period of time. - Characters have access to spaceships for traveling to different planets. - Other small planets would be included in the game for Saiyans to conquer at Frieza’s will, or to be taken over by your character for your own gain, or for just exploration. Examples of planets would be Tuffle, New Planet Vegeta, New Planet Namek, and many others. - You can vaporize any NPC with your energy waves to send them to the next dimension. - If your character is a Saiyan you could transform into a Super Saiyan and beyond with intense training. (This is not realistic, but I can’t think of any other way.) - Your character would learn new abilities through either self-training or by learning under a master such as Roshi, Kami, Guru, King Kai, etc. - You can change the clothing, hair style, etc, of your character at any time by returning to your home or quarters. - Lastly.....Bruce Faulconer’s soundtrack would be included. |

A few ideas here, I inserted hyper links to help illustrate some of the ideas.
-BT4 should have stages 10x bigger than the ones in BT3, they should also allow you to fly at least 10x higher than in BT3. With massive levels like that they should also include online and offline multiplayer battles, with everyone fighting on screen at once. They could have free for all and multiplayer team battles that don't involve having to tag in and out. Of coarse if they have this then they'll have to change L1 to switch target rather than lock on. -Some stages need tweaking. The Room of Spirit and Time is supposed to be a huge white lifeless area, there shouldn't be weird blue stuff all over the place. Planet Namek does not have other planets in the background. Supreme Kai's planet does not have clouds on it. The damaged city stage from BT2 would look great with rain. -More stages, like Janemba's Hell, damaged Supreme Kai's world from the kid Buu fight, Namek when it's only in it's early stages of destruction and the other world tournament -Around 20 more characters. Ones that really need to be included are Bio Brolly, Eis Shenron, Android 14 and 15, General Rildo and Dr.Wheelo. That villain from the OAV special would be pretty cool. His name is Hatchyack and he has a transformation too -All the missing forms of the characters we already have should be in the game (Buff Buu, Super Piccolo Buu, Max power/USSJ2 Cell, Hildegarn form 1 etc). What-if forms and fusions like SSJ3 Vegeta and Super Buu w/Vegetto absorbed would be nice but not essential. -More alternate costumes (Vegeta's early Namek armor, Pikkon without weighted clothing and Gohan's outfit from the Bojack movie are all must have). Buu with pajamas would be cool, as would Super buu (Gohan absorbed) with no shirt -Facial expressions in story mode and during battles would add a lot of life to the game. -Some character models need a little fixing (SSJ Trunks w/sword, LSSJ Broly, Cell jr, Kid Buu, Captain Ginyu and Fat Buu are good examples). Doing all the character models from scratch would be a good idea since it'll hopefully be a next gen game. ---Cyborg Friezas head looks strange in the BT games, theres a massive black space on his head that wasnt there in the anime, as you can see in the pictures his head is smaller, his eyes are larger and there's meant to be small blue metal plates on his head, not big black ones. --Kid Buu should beat his chest when powering up, also his antennae is a little too long in the BT games -Frieza form 1 and Cyborg Frieza should have super nova, not deathball. -Get rid on rush moves completely, everything should be performed in real time (like on Shin Budokai). -When a character is finished off with an ultimate, they should disintegrate, not just get K.O. (Or in some cases, cut in half like Frieza) -Make it on Next gen, meaning PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii only, not PS2. -The Kaioken works well on BT2, but looks terrible, it has to be fixed. -When Goku is SSJ3 in the anime, his clothes are given a golden glow and appear to be yellow (Like in Budokai 3), in BT2 however, they still look the same shade of orange that are given in the SSJ and SSJ2 forms. -Vegeta (with scouter) should have Galick gun for an ultimate, and it should look like this. -We need ball vs beam struggles. -Get rid of the blue swirls while powering up/transforming. Some characters having unique auras like on hyper dimension would be cool. -Levels of battle damage for some characters. For example, level 1 should be some scratches and minor rips in the clothes like the standard battle damage in BT2. Level 2 should be Clothes much more ripped and damaged (like Goku after his fight with kid Buu), and Level 3 should show the character really beat up and bloody (Like the battle damaged costumes for Teen Gohan and Bardock in BT2). That way you could have one suit for Goku that has multiple levels of damage instead of having to make 3 differant battle damaged costumes. -Great Apes and other Giant characters should be at least 4x larger. -Change captain Ginyu's body switch back to the way it was in BT1. -There should be much bigger explosions in the game and maybe craters from death moves and from characters being slammed into the ground. -Some characters need to have more moves. Not everyone but some characters should have L2+Left(or Right)+Triangle/Circle added to their move lists, for example, 2nd stage Cell’s move set should look something like this: Ultimate (L2+triangle+ down): Self destruct (Where he blows up like a balloon) L2+triangle: Kamehameha L2+triangle+ up: Big bang attack (Red like what he used to blow up those islands) L2+triangle+ right: Galick gun L2+triangle+ left: Tri beam or Life drain (Which should just be his throw) -Something has to be done about the dead zone attack (it should be freaking massive and turn the sky red), I don't know, maybe you should have to charge it with L2+ circle (Like Goku's spirit bomb) and once you've charged it enough you can open it and it triggers some sort of mini game where you either get sucked in or get Garlic JR sucked in. If you include free for all battles like we all want (16 players please ), then maybe you can punch other people in to it. Garlic Jr should also have that beam he shoots out of his stomach. -Goku should have that small basketball sized spirit bomb he used against Vegeta, Dr Wheelo and Turles. -You should be able to do the vanishing/banishing attack 3 times or so, not just once. -SSJ1 Goku and SSJ2 teen Gohan really should have Kamehameha/super kamehameha for a normal move (Speaking of SSJ1 Goku, shouldn't his angry Kamehameha be yellow?) -For Pikkon: ---Make him A LOT faster and give him a transformation (Or alt costume) where he doesn't wear weighted clothes ---His ki blasts should be green ---His hyper tornado should work more like a super explosive wave ---His flame kick in BT2 looks weird, he should glow completely orange so he looks like a big fire ball, then land the kick, then go back to normal and swats them down ---His thunder flash looks like he's shooting out orange smoke, take a look at how the move looks on Shin Budokai, it should look a lot more like that -Make the character models/level designs look at least as good as Budokai 3 (With Anime style Cel shading), if this is on the PS3 or Xbox 360 there’s no reason it can't. Well, Here are the ideas that will, in my oppinion, make tenkaichi 3 a more interesting game:
- I know that lots of people said this. But a character creation, like change voice, attacks, poses, costumes,etc. - Teen Gohan must have the costume like in bojack´s movie. - You should put Future Gohan with and without an arm. - Adult Goku with Gt costume. And Kid Gt Goku with all the transformations. - The Japanese and English musics. - More fighting arenas, like the "space" one. - We should be able to fly very high and when we use powerfull blasts we should be able to destroy the enviroment like making crates. And if we hit the enemies with those blast they should be vanished. - when we transform the enviroment should change like the things start shaking,etc. Thats all for now. They should have attacks crash together like in broly second coming, at end of movie. ![]() ![]() With kamehehema's and other big powerful ball attacks,(example, Broly's omega blaster) I'd really like to see characters blown up into pieces like in the show, like when they have low life and you hit him with a UltBlast. The move Goku did at the end of super android 13 movie, with the spirit bomb GT characters GT kid Goku (base, SSJ, SSJ2,SSJ3, Golden Grate ape, SSJ4, Gogeta SSJ4) GT Vegeta (Base,SSJ,SSJ2, Golden grate ape, SS4, Gogeta SSJ4)< To transform SSj4 it should have bulma coming the the blutz wave machine and giving Vegeta Blutz wave and then turning into Golden grate ape. From there you could click R3 and go to SSJ4 with detail of course. Nova Shenron(1st Form, Final form) Ice Shenron Gt Goten (base, SSJ,SSJ2) Movie characters Broly( Base, Mind controlled SSJ, Free will SSJ, LSSJ) Just free will for new characters -More combos, Blast, Ult blast and dramatic transformations -When hitting a building, you could go through it, not brake it all down or create a creater. (like lightning,storms,sandstorms,Eruption,Rain,Tropical storms) .i want to able to make my own character of different race (human,saiyan,namek) .To create your own moves .Online play .Enviroments are to be destroyed bit by bit if and attack were to coliide .Rocks start to crumble when you power up,or do an attack,or transformation .To be able import your own tracks(mp3) .In story mode i want to be able to walk around in story mode .A choice in being good or bad .To go above l.v.l 200 .To have co-op .To have more than one character on a screen .more alternative appearence .There should be no barriers no limits in battle .You should be able to take thefight to other enviroments (first you start in the wastelands then you fight over the then city and so on .Give the fighter 3x time the health so that the battle could feel like a dbz moment in the anime. .Can you put high speed combat battle sytems (like when chracters Fight so fast you can't keep up with them and you could see the waves of attacks when they teleport over and over again .In battle can it go from night to day .You should be able to knock someone in a crater .When fighters grapple you should be able to challenge each others energy .I repeat online play .You should be able to charge your dragon dash so you could go faster What Broly transformation looks like this ![]() and Goku kamehameha look like this ![]() After blocking attacks there could be smoke affacts like this ![]() Broly unstopable power ![]() powering up effects ![]() How powering could look like ![]() Devastating attacks ![]() Improved cutscene ![]() Deflect energy attacks ![]() Broly blaster shell his main move ![]() broly pwer up ![]() hos combat style ![]()

Power Level System
On the subject of power level systems, I was working on one of the most accurate of all (or at least it seems so). It's very confusing, and I haven't had time to work it out, but the basic idea is: OK, say you have Vegeta, PL 18,000, V.S Hercule, PL 48. Hercule's stats are: Attack: 1 Defence: 1 Speed: 1 Etcetera: 1 While Vegeta's become: Attack: 99 Defence: 99 Speed: 99 Etcetera: 99 ((Note that 99 is the maximum for stats.)) When Vegeta fights Frieza (PL 530,000), however, his stats become: Attack: 1 Defence: 1 Speed: 1 Etcetera: 1 Like Hercule's. The point of this system is comparison. If you fight someone a million times stronger than you, your stats are pathetic. If you pummel someone weaker than you, your stats are fantastic. Here's an idea of how the difference would be judged: Saiko has a PL of 1,000. She fights Miko who has a PL of 1,400. Saiko's stats are: Attack: 3 Defence: 3 Speed: 3 Etcetera: 3 vs. stats of: Attack: 5 Defence: 5 Speed: 5 Etcetera: 5 This is because Miko is two Strength Levels above Saiko. Strength Levels judge the difference between opponents -- the stronger ones have every stat increased by an amount equal to the number of Strength Levels they have over their enemy. You get Strength Levels over your opponent by having a certain amount of power more than him/her. With the fight with Saiko and Miko, 200 was the required amount to have a Strength Level over Saiko, for example. ********* ********* ********* ******* ******** Now, two opponents with the same PL (1,000) fight. Both have stats of: Attack: 3 Defence: 3 Speed: 3 Etcetera: 3 Now two Hercules Fight (PL 48). Stats are: Attack: 1 Defence: 1 Speed: 1 Etcetera: 1 The reason for this is that naturally low levelled characters (like Hercule) have a low Base Level for stats, while a powerful character (like SSJ4 Vegeto) would have a very high Base Level (to a maximum of 99). The Base Level is what all stat differences are based off (as the name would imply). A character with one Strength level over another, would have all stats go over his Power Category's Base Level by one. Whenever a character gets to a certain power level, their Power Category goes up. At this event, the character's Base Level goes up by one, and his opponents need to have an even larger gap in power for them to have a Strength Level over that character. I hope to make future installments of this idea. Please give me your feedback, and suggestions of what might need to be changed. Saga Maker Here's my idea on how to make your own storyline for the Dragon Ball Universe. 1. Select a map the story takes place in (aka: namek or earth). 2. Place all the secrets across the map (aka: little star thingies.) and any cut scenes you want for that particular event. 3. Place all the main story events (Red dots) across the map. 4. Make the cutscenes for your story events, secret events, and others (how to make them is described below.). 5. Edit other features such as fights in the story event or random encountery thing. Now.... how to make cut scenes. It's a lot simpler then you'd think, in the way I've planned it at least. The cut scenes will be like in Budokai 3, with the characters and the speech bubbles, only you have lots more expressions than they had originaly. Here is what you have to do to make one of these cut scenes: 1. You go into cut scene making mode. 2. You select the character you want to speak first. Or you select the "Narrator", which is either a either a sound effect (like the ones in budokai 3), or a speech bubble with the text the narrator says. (Skip to "5" if you picked 'Narrator', or "6" if you picked 'Sound effect'.) 3. You choose the expression of the character (meaning happy, scared, hurt, angry, etcetera). 4. You pick the type of speech bubble used (meaning shouting, whispering, normal or thought). 5. You input the text that the character/narrator says. 6. You put in the sound effect or speech that you desire. (optional) 7. Choose what will happen after the speech/sound is ‘X’ed (meaning the player presses the X button to get the next text/sound/fight.). Out of: another person speaking, a sound effect, narration, conversation end, or a fight starts. 8. You repeat the process if you picked speech, narration or sound effect, and you put in the fight you want if you picked fight. If you end the conversation there you may go back and edit any details you want changed or save it and leave (saving it is optional). Fight Editor: This is how you fill your What-If Storyline with the battles the game is about.

I call for a more destructable (realistic) environment, such as, if the character is smashed into the ground at full pelt, just like on the cartoons a crater would form. somewhere along those lines anyway.
also a create your own character mode would be cool, although it would confuse the whole idea a fair bit. Id like to see attacks that didnt just blow up the majority of the world, it blew it to smitherines!!! universe bombs etc. COOL id like to see a cuple of evil characters brought back and made stronger such as: TURLES!!!!! how cool would ssj5 Turles be?? Teen Gohan - ssj3 at least... a cuple of new androids... king vegeta & kid vegeta.. kid broly, bio broly paragus and his soldiers raditz (super saiyan at least) kid goku, (GT)vegeta some new shenron characters or some new ultimate strong character who i can whoop with teen gohan again The option for fantasy fusions would be real cool, such as EG: son goku/Baby Vegeta fair dooz it would probably turn out a bit like gogeta but it would be nice. gogeta non super saiyan 4 (ie starts at super saiyan & transforms upwards) Adult Gotenks (this is a must) Team attacks (requires 2 lock on's or more) similar to father-son kamehameha but 2 characters instead of 1, thus opening up tonnes of new moves. get characters special moves right, along with the audio to go with them! new landscapes, new sagas (not shown in cartoons), TURLES SUPER SAIYAN 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 ![]() most characters up to saiyan level 7 maybe, skipping the ape form of course cos theyre rubbish!!! i think thatl do |

Fast Gameplay, when you followed the show you do notice that during the fights you see a lot of speed involving and this has been a problem with the previous games as they were all too ''slow''. When your character fights, you want to have a ''speedy'' fast battle, not a slow one because it ruins the environment & your gameplay as I've noticed. Easy controlsystem, Super DBZ, you couldn't really have ''felt'' like that you controlled the character & a lot of moves were frustrating to pull off like for instance going to transform into a SSJ, I mean, come on we want to do that with a single button. Please do add an challenging Combo system, it will make the game more challenging. Online mode for sure, well no need to say why because it's obvious for us DBZ fans crying it out for years now.. A big storymode, to each character an unique storymode; kinda Samurai warriors 2 with for example Tadakatsu Honda having 6/7 stages and Shingen Takeda has another storyline which connects a few stages with Honda's storyline. This should be DBZ; Goku having 6/7 stages whereas it is biased off on his character & Vegeta has 6/7 stages with a unique ending & special scenes you can only see through his storymode. Every char should've one. Also please add a 3-3 battle system like in DBZ Legends, it makes the game a bit more intereactive. ![]() Since you guys can make use of the Blu-ray disc, you can make a much bigger environment in stages, bgm, Character models etc. but do remember that it shouldn't effect the fast gameplay too much as otherwise it will be like the horrible Dragonball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 1/2 all over again which was very slow in gameplay Also I want to add that Budokai Tenkaichi 2 has the worst gameplay together with Budokai Tenkaichi 1 so please don't use that engine anymore, dimps's gameplay was far better than Spike's Budokai Tenkaichi gameplay.. I know that Graphics are cool but the gameplay has a high value into these types of games too as it keeps the gamer playing. I've held out playing Budokai Tenkaichi 1 for a week but then it got so boring so I've never played it again, same goes for Budokai Tenkaichi 2, it was fun, the storymode were nicely made but seriously some variation in storyline would be great. Also I want to add that the speed is the most vital item of a dbz game. ![]()

i look through everyone idea's. some very cool ideas, but one thing is missing. MUSIC. noone likes some of the music that is in BT2. am i right. there is one option, the developers could do:
OPTION:music: Gatebreaker-save-yes/no crisis Lost courage go ahead little light power rush Break through to save the music you like in BT3, without going through the list everytime you play the game. including story, tournament, 2player and ultimate battle. anybody could used this idea in their next post, if they want to or not. ![]() cool idea from LIGHTING: music from the show, funimation/ toei goku transform freiza final transformation and others. i will edit this later on, to list some the music. K Here we go these are my ideas for t3 Heres the Contents; #1 My story #2 Finishers and ultimates!!! #3 Fatigue System #4 Environmental damage!!!! #5 My New targeting mode!!!(optional for the game) #6 Simultaneous Battling system!!!! STORY Well heres how my story would be ok first you would start off in the db era and of course work your way up . so anyway id have the feature were you fly more like in b3 this was way more realistic but not totally. first off the world would be a lot bigger so flying around would take longer. not too long but realisticly. then you would of course go through different types of training like fro example korin, kami , and so on but the only differents would be is that you are actually gonna have to chase korin or whatever happen with training like when goku trained on king kais planet he had to go through the step process get bubbles, catch gregory then, hed be able to really train and another realistic part of this would be that you would actually struggle under the gravity you are under this would be the same for other types of training aside from that the story would be set up in a whole new way the episode would be exact like the real deal is wat i call it i mean actuall episodes it will say the episode number and the title of it . but you would have a pretty long time to finish a saga time limit is unknown but it would not be setup as anime scenes from the show it would be like b1 but in the tenkaichi form but there would be more action instead untill the last ep there would finally be some kind of cool cutscene every ep would have an exciting cutscene makin you more interested the battles would be pretty much the same except for one idea im gonna add later Finishers And ultimates Well now its finisher time and ultimates. so the finishers would kinda go like this. i was really disapointed wen i seen the spirit bomb in the first game so i thought well the next will improve still no improvement on any of the ultimates for that matter so heres my idea for a spirit bomb you get your finisher when you launch it well for one the move will be actuall size like in the show anyway you launch your move then here comes the fun part and hard you launched you attack on your opponent then if it gets close enough your opponent puts there hands on it and trys to oppose it this is were the beam struggle kinda fits in but its not a beam struggle you try to add power to end your opponent while he or she is trying to push it back at you so they have equal chance of of damaging you this results in who ever rotated the anolgs faster but thers another way too doge the ultimat say your goku you can launch a kamehameha as long as you have full ki bars not max and have your beam try to push it back FOR EXAMPLE COOLER VS GOKU super nova against kamehameha you get the idea!!!!!! now there is more to add to the finishers but they are seperate ideas FATIGUE SYSTEM!!!!! this is one of my fav ideas the fatigue system!!!! this is were you will have a body next to your health meter it will be in green and as battle progresses your body will go from green to yellow to orange to DANGER!!!! RED where you are pretty much defensless say dont you just hate how you do a move and your friend or the opponent blocks it like nothin well thats all about to change if you do a kamehameha over and over you too will start to be damaged but not to red at least yellow area anyway lets turn the table your opponent is hit by the move but he blocked it this damage wil go towards his arms so the more he dodges with his arms the more damaged they become to the point were he cant use them or use finishers one more thing the area you attack will become damaged not just the whole thing and just to be damamged to get to the yellow health bar is stupid it should be more realistic so if i punch someone in the face hes either bleeding or bruised Next after the battles done you can see all the damage your character had done to him it will show a full detailed pic of him and all the damaged points of the body then you have a X-RAY version to see broken bones this would make it feel cool because you could see what kinda battle you had to go through this would also fit somewhere in the story!!! ENVIRONMENTAL DAMAGE!!!!!! Did you ever see a kamehameha hit the ground in the show? well i sure the hell did and when it does it makes a huge explosion like dome then when the smoke clears it leaves one huga ass crater in the ground this is determined how powerful your character is kinda like this order Goku base phuge crater and explosin goku kao ken x5 more damage to the environment starting to cause huge amounts of damamge Kao ken x10 huge destructive force up the area more would be damaged but say you go super saiyan anhiliation to the area almost the entire area is deastroyed SSJ2 lightning forming tides over flowing damage is so powerful the beam penetrates earths atmosphere and causes an unbeliavble amount of destruction SSJ3 totally wipes out an entire CITY!!!! causes clouds togather lightning and a huge force and a crater is left the size of 30 parking lots wide and almost reaches the earths core SSJ4 totall destruction in its path anything environmental is drastically destroyed cities forests etc etc well you get the point with beams now when you are thrown into a building you will get stuck and or jamed in the outline of it if your smashed hard enough then the result of damage is changed smae goes for the rest of the environment!!!! NEW TARGETING SYSTEM!!!!!! Now some may not agree on this thats why i put optional but anyway this is where you will to be a character and when you choose that person you will of course during battle launch a move for example FRIEZA you use death beam but if you have full power and choose not to do your ultimate this is where my targetting system comes in you will now go into first person mode and a crossair would go on the screen you can now choose a spot to aim and fire this could come in handy lets say you decide to fire at there leg there leg will now be damaged they will then walk or fly very slowly because of the injury so this gives you an advantage over them so now hitting them with finishers would be easier so they cant dodge as much other moves like gokus you would be able to controll the direction of gokus kamehameha if the opponent dodged it you could make it turn around and try to hit him but this would drain energy so be wise!!!! BATTLES AT THE SAME TIME!!!!!! this is what most people want you would be able to have up to 6 fighters on the battle field at the same time some say thats impossible but with a new directional change like be able to switch targets and make the environment at least 2x the size it is now will change that an turn impossible to possible now that this is resolved you can also do double teams and such you will also be able to give items to your partner like a senzu bean and others in that manner

Hello everyone! Im here to give my suggestions for the next tenkaichi 3 game. I must admit that I am 41 and I still love dragon ball games!
I´ve been reading the others posts, and I thought that The Create-a-Character mode whould be great! My favourite character is Gohan. So I really think that there should be Future Gohan, ( I love him), teen gohan should have his Goku´s costume... I think is much more funny to play with him in that costume, and the bojack´s saga in the story mode whould be more realistic. I also saw the idea of the episodes musics too, Great! Thats all or now. Make it for the 360 and PS3 with online capabilities, PS2 and Wii can have watered down versions. Id get it for the 360 myself as i dont have or want a PS3.
Add more characters like Rildo, Bio Brolly, Hildegarn form 1, Chi chi, King Piccolo, Cyborg Tao, Dr Wheelo etc etc. Also these forms of Cell and Buu, what ever they're called ![]() ![]() More levels like, hell, janembas hell, otherworld tournament, tree of might etc Give some characters more moves (eg: Perfect Cells secondary ultimate could be max power kamehameha and be used with L2+Left+Triangle) Add create a character, this is really needed IMO and if ppl are upset about one of their characters not making it then they could create that character themselves. Do something about the kaioken, it looks terrible in both tenkaichi games and doesn't work right. It should be a big, thick aura and should make you a lot stronger, but you should get knocked out of it when you get slammed into the ground Make it so you can have multiple players fighting at one time (Like DBZ legends on PS1, except more players (8+) and the option of being in teams or free for all). It would be a lot more fun to fight burter and jeice at the same time instead of one at a time, same goes for the fight with the cell jrs, it would be waay cooler to be fighting one with Goku and watching Vegeta, trunks etc all fighting other cell jrs in the background. Make the stages way bigger. Make the great apes way bigger. Make it so when you use an ultimate, it shows the ball/beam going into the planet and making a massive explosion, and the level can die more with every passing moment with the sky getting darker, lava coming out of the ground, lightning coming out of the sky, that sort of thing. Better than just watching a big explosion from space. (Probably impossible on the PS2 and wii) Fix up the cel shading, characters always looked kinda crummy on the tenkaichi games, budokai 3 had way better character models. Custom sound tracks would be nice, id rather have my own music in the background instead of the default tracks from previous games. (But we can''t if it's only for wii and ps2 ._.) Make the ultimates like Super Nova and Spirit bomb look better, they only look like big, colored balls, they should also be way bigger and glow brighter Get rid of the blue swirls, every one should have different looking auras, not just colors but thickness, size, motion etc. I saw that pic of king kold, why the **** does he have a sword? Just what the ****? Get rid of it. |

a weather change option would be cool don't you think? I would like a weather change option. The weather of a stage can change alot of stuff. Imagine Kami's tower at night with the clouds below it stormy? Can't you see? We need emotion in the weather for an even bigger impact on the fight.

One suggestion that I know EVERYONE wouldnt be against:
Having the authentic japanese music in the North American version like the other regions get. Seriously, Dragon Ball Universe (the whole series) fans have wanted this in the game since Budokai Tenkaichi 1. And it should be possible what with Funimation's official uncut season boxsets recently being released. Those have both the japanese music + english voice actors. C'mon Atari make it happen! |

With the game engine in mind
- When charging ki, instead of having a generic blue-ringed aura have actual auras seen from the anime (Budokai 3 was pretty good in this).
- Cutscenes for both story mode and combat such as rushing blast 2/upblast2/ultimate blast should be given more attention. The cutscenes from Tenkaichi 2 felt uninspired and amateurish, and some animations were cloned onto different characters making the animation team at Spike seem half-assed. I'm majoring in animation so I can tell when something looks half-assed. Although, I'm not saying the Spike team are bad animators (I'm sure they can create something kickass if they wanted to), I'm just saying that more attention should be paid to that aspect of the game in Tenkaichi 3. - Destructable environments should look more devastating. Specifically the explosion (blowing up the planet) cutscene, there should be different and better animated explosions for different types of moves. Such as a Final Flash shooting out into space when aimed outward and exploding a piece of the earth when shot into the ground. And of course, an energy ball should create a round explosion when thrown into the ground. - Also environments should be slightly bigger in volume (Height/Width/Length), hitting an opponent into the wall and cancelling the opponent's stun makes no sense and kills the mood. I'm not saying get rid of invisible walls as I know that's impossible, but rather just make it slightly bigger. The sky should be taller, perhaps allowing players to rise above the atmosphere (that may be too much so being able to go above the clouds is good enough). - Characters should be well balanced. Although I know there are some people who prefer the power gaps, it should not be much of a problem to allow those of us who likes balanced character rosters to customize our characters with items to balance them manually. In Tenkaichi 2, it took me about 100 hours to completely lvl. up every character to closely resemble a balanced roster, but even lvl. 160 Pan could not get anywhere near the power of lvl. 1 Super Saiyan 4 Goku ( in terms of damage dealt). So I suggest allowing all characters to be able to be customized to be balanced out with the most powerful character. This way people who like a power gap can still play with a power gap and people who like a balanced roster can customize their characters more effectively. In short, Spike should improve their customization system. - The number of players should be increased to 4, with quad split screen which is pretty much 4 shrunken down 1 player screens. 4 players playing at once in a Free-For-All, Tag Team, or Team match should be possible with the 3D fighting system. With a flick of the Lock on button (L1) a player can cycle through opponents and direct their beams at anyone they want. So a Kamehameha or a Blast Volley or a Energy Ball can be steered by switching opponent lock ons during the move, you can trick people this way. (Also with a team battle, an actual double kamehameha can be done rather than the Bros. Kamehameha and the Father-Son Kamehameha). - Power Guards ( Circle, Triangle) should have an energy shield effect and look to it. Upon the moment of impact from an opponent's beam, a flicker of energy should surround the defender and create a cool barrier look. The damage dealt should stay the same as it did in Tenkaichi 2 just the look is good enough. - Character movelists should be diverse and unique. Not cloned. - Character roster is decent in Tenkaichi 2 but some characters are much needed. Include the the Ox king, 12 year old Chi Chi, 18 year old Chi Chi, Arale, 13 year old Krillen, 16 year old Krillen, Kami or Hiro, Mr. Popo, Korin, Sky Dragon, 12 year old Goku, 18 year old Goku, Dr. Willow, Bio Broly, Future Gohan, Tajaro (Annin), Kibito, the different evil Dragons, the henchmen of Bojack, the henchmen of Garlic Jr., King Piccolo and his henchmen, new born Piccolo, and Hirudargen's first form. - When shooting beams, make it optional to distribute the energy spent on the beam in whichever way you want. For instance, when shooting a Kamehameha, one would charge up their Ki gauge first then press L2 + Triangle to charge up their beam. Instead of automatically taking away a certain cost of Ki once the beam charge begins, the cost of the Ki varies depending on how much you have charged your beam, so the longer you charge your beam the more the Ki gauge will start to deplete. As an added feature to Tenkaichi 3, also allow players to Overcharge their beams once it's fired by holding the Triangle button longer, this will make the beam bigger and more damaging and instead of costing just Ki it will also gradually deplete your life gauge at the same time. Of course the Overcharged beam can't be held forever. ( for an added effect, Spike can add a voice track of the character screaming as he does his overcharged beam) >After an overcharged blast, the user should also be stunned in addition to drained of Ki and some Vitality. The damage of the overcharged blast shouldn't be too powerful, maybe: slightly charged (4,000), fully charged (10,000), slightly overcharged (11,150), fully overcharged (13,000). As for the look of the overcharged beam it should be somewhere along the difference between a kamehameha and a super kamehameha. And if the character uses a super kamehameha then the overcharged version should be similar to a Kamehameha x10, and so forth. Update #1: - Stun times should be balanced out in Tenkaichi 3. For instance, Omega Shenron is only stunned for 1 ki bar while kid Gohan is stunned for 3 ki bars. Again this is more of a power gap issue but even if the stun times were balanced, Omega Shenron will still be uber more powerful than kid Gohan so Power gap lovers will not fret. - Dragon Homing + abilities should be in every character without the use of potoras. So I wouldn't have to waste space to use such an essential ability. Meaning that every character can Dragon Home more than once when out of Max Mode by default. (And by the way, increase the slots) - Introduce more imaginative Potora items. Going overboard with the ideas is not a bad thing as equiping them is the players choice. Suggestions for Dragon Ball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3's Story mode:
-The story mode should feel less scripted and mechanical. If a character joins the group, he should appear in the pre-battle dialogue and shouldn't disappear immediately after the battle. The events which aren't required, but are available for visits should sometimes change the main storyline somewhat too rather than just giving money, experience or an extra battle with no relation to the storyline. -Rather than use a narrative box to describe that a villain gets killed by the Kamehameha or the Genki Dama, wouldn't it be possible to use the default in-battle animations to show those scenes? -A bigger focus on "what-if" storylines for this game, rather than only repeating DBZ's story for the third time, especially storylines focused on secondary characters. Tenkaichi 3 Suggestions
I hope it is not too late to make my suggestions. I have already seen screenshots of King Cold fighting King Vegeta and the new Night Time mode. All of which looks great! Here's my few suggestions. Take 'em or leave 'em.
20 New Characters? All of which never before seen in a DBZ game? I hope they are: The ones we know - King Cold - King Vegeta - Nail One's I'd REALLY like to see - Chi Chi (DB and DBZ version) - Olibu - Teen Goten (from GT) - Teen Gotenks - Ox King (from DB) - King Yama - King Kai - Pui Pui - The orange and blue dragons from GT - Rildo - Garlick Jr. Henchmen (both movie and series versions) - Bulma (I know she never fought, but a lot of characters from the show fear her!) Please improve the music. It needs to be more Rock heavy. The music from BT2 was pretty soft and unexciting by DBZ standards. This is a little random, but I think Kid Goku should have the Power Pole. At least for a combo attack. Or kind of like how Trunks used his sword. Here's some of the new stages I'd like to see: - Goku's House - Other World Tournament - Hell (or Home For Infinite Losers) - Planet Vegeta - Janemba's Hell - Area where Raditz was fought - Inside Buu - King Kai's Planet - Snake Way Here are some Costumes I'd like to see: - Goku's Yardrat outfit - Vegeta's Pink shirt - Piccolo's normal clothes from when he got his driver's license - Gohan's first outfit with the red hat and 4 star Dragonball - Adult Gohan's Kai outfit Make the Story Mode more cinematic instead of having the player read a bunch of text. I guess more cutscenes is what I'm trying to say (that can be skipped of course for the impatient players). All that would be fine and dandy, but please do some more work with the mechanics. Everyone and their mother on this forum praises Budokai 3 for its improved system from its predesessors. For example, people LOVED the dodging feature in Budokai 3. Please do not just only add more characters and stages. Do something about the actual gameplay itself. That is what seperates mediocre games from the classics. |

Gameplay ideas:
-Use blasts to propulse you (when you fire a blast, if you hold a button like the L1 you lose lock on then you can aim to a place where you want to go, then let it go the blast letting go the button L1, then the caracter will turn hands and fire backwards heading you to the place you aimed at the most high speed and enemy loses lock on. You could use like when, the enemy goes fourth you on ground, then you use a blast and quickly aim to the skies, then you propulse your way ou of his way and he loses track of you. Or to do an ultimate unblockable attack you should aim at the enemy and use it (just like Goku´s feet kameha). (you are charging you kamehameha then the enemy is waiting for it blocking, then you do this and get him because it would be easy to aim at a stand blocking caracter, but if hes especting it, he just keep moving to the side, then if you misses him in the propulse and hit a mountain or else till you lose the propulse momentum, you got stunned, making a hilaric move). But i think about not needing a super blast at all, maybe you could make every caracter shot a line generic beam when charging the triangle (not making that homing special attacks or then adding some button to make then) then you could propulse yourself to the skies as the enemy goes into you, then in the skies you fire a super blast to the enemy who had loses your track so he shouldn´t defend (something like goku did on the budokai against tien, he escaped the tien blast, goes to the skies and used solar flare) But the propulse using generic beam should be weaker than a propulse using a super blast, but it should be better than just use L2 + X, it should be more instant that that one and the enemy loses lock on. -Generic beam blast: Just like i said above, the charged homing triangle attacks leaves or change button command to switch to a generic line beam attack for every player. -Blasts to feint something: I would say that if you block a blast that explodes and smokes, you lose track of the player who lauched it. Sou he could set up a trap. (if you deflect it or dodge then no, but if it hit´s the ground near and goes smoke or you defend it and it explode in your arms smoking, or if the opposite uses a button to explode it right front of you (i would add here a option to explode a chargable super blast where you want by pressing some button), you should lose track (something like krilin did againts piccolo on DB saga, or trunks used again´s mecha frieza (used the attack, frieza dodges but trunks appears behind him)). I think that what should make the game better is better dynamic plays like those. And this should be a great addon to the non flying caracters like the one´s on the DB saga that will be available on T3, but also a cool addon to the flying and more powerful late caracters. New Storyline Ideas(better than "What ifs") I think for it to work, they would need to create some new characters and explore a section of dbz that was never explained very much(well they could include 1 arm gohan and do the history of trunks saga a lot better than last time for one storyline). The alternate storylines in bt2 were a nice try, but it was kind of just the same old stuff, and dodoria died like 3 times in that zarbon one lol. Planet Vegeta Saga They could make a nice little plot about paragus, kid vegeta, king vegeta, frieza, cooler, frieza's father, dodoria, zarbon, turles, and bardock(maybe his crew). The saiyans could destroy a few planets, start to get pissed at frieza and his dad, and they could go through the whole rebellion thing. Also, they could interweave paragus into it and let king vegeta whip his butt a few times to set up brolly's story. I guess they could include turles fighting at first but then fleeing to survive. The whole thing could be about as long as the saiyan saga actually. Dragonball Saga(s) They could do another one with the characters of dragonball before goku arrives(as long as they improve grandpa gohan, he really sucked in the last game). They could add in tien's master(can't remember his name), tamborine and the other henchmen for king piccolo, king piccolo, and maybe master roshi's master. With those characters the story could cover master roshi going through the tournament along with his friend, piccolo and his henchmen's attack on the martial artists, the training of grandpa gohan and his eventual beating master roshi, and then his death at goku's hands while in oozaru form. For the saga to work though they would need to make the db character a lot stronger, funner to play with, and with cooler attacks than they had in the last game. History of Namek Saga And one more idea I've got is to go over planet Namek before the Z warriors arrived. I'm not really sure how they could do it, maybe someone could try to take over the planet(the saiyans maybe) and King Piccolo would at first try to fight them, but eventually be banished from the planet. Lord Slug would be best friends with Piccolo and they would make their traitorous decision together. Maybe they would have to create a new Namek character to fight against them(oh they could use guru when he was younger, he would be a hero type), and they could use Nail to help him and just call him someone else lol. I guess you would play from the perspective of the bad guys since there are a lot more of them, or you could play from the bad guys perspective and the good guys, like in budokai 1. Gameplay Ideas Suggestions(good ones) I think they need to improve the customization A LOT. It was only possible to have a level 160 fighter in bt2 and the computer sometimes had a level 222, it would make the game a lot longer if you could level up to like 400 or 800. Instead of having a max 20 in each category you could have say 50 or 100. It would really give you the feeling that your fighter is getting stronger as you go through story mode and you would actually have to train to beat guys like frieza who could possibly be 200 levels stronger than you. With this much customization you could have Krillen who is so weak he can't even touch Nappa or Krillen who can contest with buu. I also agree with one of the users above me, Vegeta's galick gun should be his ultimate, and a planet destroyer at that. In the last game it was treated like an ordinary blast when in the series it was always a monstrously powerfull attack. On the subject of beams, they should be bigger in this game. The weaker attacks are about the right size, but as the story progresses and you gain access to stronger characters the attacks need to be about twice the size they were in bt2. For example, Goku's kaioken kamehameha(my idea for one of his base form ulitimates) should be bigger than ss4 gogeta's BBKamehameha was in the last game and could expand as it travels. The ultimates especially should be about 3 times the size they were in the last game, the only ones I thought were right were goku's spirit bomb and coolers huge supernova attack. And please, make Vegeta's final flash look flashier than some little blast like it was in the last game, it needs to be about as wide as goku's spirit bomb. Well I just got done playing bt2 so I've got a few fresh ideas. \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ \/ 1) When the opponent is lying on the ground and you hit him with a blast (kamehameha, final flash, whatever) it doesn't seem to do but half the damage as usual. I think they should make it do the same amount of damage(or maybe more) because in the show there were plenty of times when characters were stunned on the ground and they got nailed with blasts; I mean they're not even on guard so why should it do less damage. And from the gameplay point-of-view, just make it possible to teleport out of the way if you're on the ground(unless you are stunned, cuz then you couldn't). 2) Make all attacks real time. They don't have to be chargeable, but they should take around .7 seconds to do the hand signs and fire(Turles' Kill Driver is a good example). The opponent won't have as much time to react(which is good), but he'll still have a chance at least when he sees the hands preparing to fire. And charegeable attacks should do more damage than the quick firing attacks. I think don't think rushes should be in real-time though because I like watching them lol, but I would like for the little scene before they start rushing towards you to be removed(it slows down the gameplay). 3) Make the Blasts travel faster. They're so easy to dodge but if they went faster then you could actually see them fly accross the stage without the grim knowledge that it will be dodged easily. I hate only beeing able to connect a kamehameha point blank range because you don't get the cool visual of it. 3.5) Certain attacks should move faster because it is just way to easy to dodge blasts. Attacks like death beam, Oozaru Vegeta's mouth blast on Goku, and even the kamehameha were extremely fast in the show and were hardly ever dodged. So I think they should be about twice the speed they are now. 4) Make time slow down for the person firing and speed up for the opponent when a blast is beeing charged and fired. This could take the place of my #2 or it could only be appliable for only charged attacks or Ultimate blasts. This way you could actually connect your Ultimate blast from a distance like in the series. 4.5) Ultimate attacks should be more "holly crap!" than they are now. I think it would be cool if time slowed down(from your perspective) and speed up(from the opponents perspective) when an ultimate blast is fired; because it's so freaking annoying to charge all the way up, fire it, and then have the opponent just move easily out of the way. Plus I think you shouldn't be able to teleport out of the way(unless you have IT), only dash out of the way. 5) A fatigue system would make chargeable attacks able to be fully charged and connected. Like once you've beaten your opponent with melee long enough, he has to press O repeatedly for a long time to recover(5-7 seconds max). This way you can send them flying in the air, charge your kamehameha, and nail them with it fully charged as they're falling from the sky/recovering on the ground. You wouldn't really be able to get a fully charged blast off at the beginning of the fight, but once the fight has gotten intense and you are both running out of energy you'll be able to land one. Balances it out since the charged attacks are pretty strong. Also, in bt2 if you hit the opponent with a b2 or Ub while they're lying on the ground it doesn't do as much damage. For my fatigue system to work they would need to take just as much(or more) damage lying on the ground as they do standing up. Oh and 1 more thing. Explosive waves should be able to block all b2 attacks besides chargeable ones. That way the ki volley attacks won't be so cheap when you have no time to dodge. 6) Mushroom clouds and splash damage from blasts hitting the ground near you. Like if you fire a Big Bang attack, there should be a huge cloud of smoke along with a gigantic explosion that lingers for say 5 seconds. And if it's a strong attack(like an oozaru's mouth blast), even if it doesn't hit you you'll still get hurt some from the explosion. Maybe there could eveen be like a super explosive wave created when some blasts hit something. 7) More lock on features. They have this lock on system that sounds pretty good but it's pretty much worthless. If certain things like clouds, the smoke from explosions I meantioned above, and water get between you and the opponet, you should lose lock on. If you have the ability to sense an opponent(like goku) then you won't lose the lock on, and if you have a scouter you won't lose it unless their energy is so low it can't be sensed. But if you are a character like Hercule with no way to sense the opponent, you will lose lock on every time the opponent goes underwater, goes above the clouds, or is on the other side of smoke from an explosion. We need more attacks per character, plus more close combat options like grabbing both their fists and headbutting them(every character should have an awesome throw like recomes slamming them to the ground, garlic junior tackling and slamming them, cells absorbing some energy and sending them flying, meta coolers tail beating, etc). 3-4 blast 1 attacks, 4 blast 2 attacks, and I guess 1 ultimate attack is still good. But thats just how many attacks you have in one fight. We could have slots to put the attacks in before battle(like the budokai series) so we wouldn't have to use the same attacks each battle and because I don't guess the developers could fit 6 blast 2 attacks on each character at once. Some characters could have more attacks than others, simply because they used more in the series. Base Goku, for example, could chose to equip a 'kaioken kamehameha', a 'spirit bomb', or the 'rush attack he used in the 23rd budokai on piccolo followed by the kamehameha from the sky'(assuming teen goku isn't in the game, I think he'd make an awesome character though) for his ultimate attack. He could have 6 choices for blast 1 attacks to equip in the 3-4 slots allowed; solar flair, give me energy, kaioken, full power, energy dome that blocks attacks, and 1/2 senzu bean. This many options for each character would give a customization feel to the game and players wouldn't get bored of the game so quickly with more attacks per character. Lastly, I think they need to refine the attacks and techniques of the characters to really make this game good. Make Deadzone like the Spirit bomb, as in it sits at the edge of the stage and has a gravitational pull that increases as you get close to it(if you get knocked into it, you either die immidiately or lose 5 health bars(it is supposed to be impossible to escape isn't it))Attacks like Turles' kill driver and Piccolo's special beam cannon(which required lots of charging) were great, we need more of those. Great Ape improvements They should really work on the bigger characters more for this game, they gave janemba some pretty cool looking attacks and hildegarn was decent I guess, but the great apes all pretty much had the same attacks(but in different order, like we wouldn't notice). They need to actually be creative and think of stuff like vegeta's snowball he did to goku(put him in his hands and crushed him like a snowball), and give different stuff to each oozaru. Plus, all the big characters need to move faster, its just boring punching so slow. I mean they are supposed to be nearly impossible to beat, so why not make them like that? I don't want to be able to beat a transformed nappa with Yamcha unless I have the fight of my life or my level is waaayyy higher. Also, involve the oozaru's tails in some of their attacks(perhaps if someone is punching an oozaru in the back, their tail can disrupt the combo and knock them away), those tails are awesome. Please give Vegeta, Turles, Bardock, and Maybe Radditz and Nappa the "artificial moon technique" as a B1 move that turns them oozaru any time. Goku's Kaioken Technique(needs improvement badly) Idea 1- I would really like Goku's kaioken to be improved, it wasn't very powerful in the last game and there wasn't different levels of it. In the show it was base goku's most powerful and reliable attack, he could beat someone with kaioken x 20 that he couldn't touch without it. The developers could make it so as you progress through story mode you unlock kaioken x2, x3, x4, x10, x20. Base Goku could be a weaker than average character without going kaioken, making the attack very usefull. Going back to the attack slots idea, you could equip whichever Kaioken you want, or maybe 2(x10 and x20). The down side would be that it significantly decreases your defense(or maybe health) once it wears off. You wouldn't always want to use the highest one unless you had to because the greater the power, the more the defense/health decrease. Just go through each character and give them something special/unique/cool. Idea 2- For the kaioken, each time you use it to go higher(from x1-x4, x4-x10, x10-x20), the time limit for it resets and each level of kaioken lasts the same amount of time. Goku should yell kaioken, Kaioken x4, Kaioken x10, and Kaioken x20 when he uses them. Just Kaioken should be like the last game, x4 should be faster and about double attack & blast 2 power, x10 should be even fast and attack & Blast 2 power are multiplied by about 3.5, x20 is nearly burter-fast with attack & blast 2 power 5 times stronger. Now, to even out these insane effects of kaioken, base goku's speed, attack, and blast 2 should be relatively weak(Base Vegeta's punches would be about 1.5 or 2 times stronger). The higher the level of Kaioken you use, the more powerfull the after-effects will be. After-effects will happen when the kaioken meter runs out and will include 1) dizzyness, 2) decreased defense, 3) a decrease in health. If your health is low enough, you'll die if you used kaioken too high. You'll give them a h*** of a beating before those after-affects happen though. Base Goku would be the funnest player in the game with this set up. Sample Attack Set-Ups w/ a Couple of Character Suggestions Since the game needs more special attacks per character, here's some ideas for a few characters. kbrooksGohan has some more examples on the 2nd page of this thread(his Great Ape ideas show how you can have a different set up for each character's great ape form based on the type of fighter they are), all the Ape's had the same attacks in the last game. Base Goku: 1. Kamehameha 2. Kaioken Attack(base it off the things he did to burter, or off what he did to Vegeta at triple kaioken(like a huge punch, then flying around him really fast and nailing him, and a few more superfast moves where he flies around him)) 3. Double Kamehameha(that attack goku used on frieza from underwater where he made 2 balls and fired one after the other, first one flies high over and behind the opponent and then hits them in the back followed by the other which just goes high and then hits them in the front(they go high so you can shoot them out of water or from behind something)) 4. You could take out #3 and put in Feet Kamehameha if a DB goku doesn't have it(acts like Pikkon's spinning attack in the last game, launches goku towards the opponent as fast as a kamehameha) 4. UB Spirit Bomb(requires give me energy) 5. UB2 Kaioken Kamehameha(looks like the pic kbrooksgohan has in the previous post, requires at least one level of kaioken, is of course stronger if you use a higher level of kaioken, time slows as you prepare to fire it(as I wish all ultimates would do) and it moves incredibly fast) 6. B1s- Give Me Energy, Solar Flair, Kaioken(only takes 1 blast ball to execute, can be used repeatedly to go from x1, x4, x10, x20) Here's a try at Kid Goku's Giant Ape form: 1. Angry Kick(Goku kicks the ground causing a huge boulder,or about 10 smaller ones, to fly at the opponent) 2. Roar of the Beast(Goku slams the opponent into the ground, picks him up with both hands, roars right in his face while squeezing to cause damage, and throws them like a baseball, they should go all the way across the stage and be dizzy for a long time) 3. Gigantic Heave(Goku grabs a distructable thing from the environment like a building, tree, or huge boulder and slings it at the opponent FAST, the bigger the projectile the harder to dodge) 4. UB Super Powerful Breath(just a strong, yellow mouth blast that explodes like a super explosive wave when it hits something, not too strong because I don't think he ever used one in the show and he's just a kid) 5. UB2 Monster's Wrath(Idk.....could be another mouth blast after a beating or could just be a terrifying, bone breaking beating) Kbrooksgohan's Great Ape set ups are better than Kid Goku's since he doesn't have a lot of ki minupulation powers. By the way, I wan't the awesome roars from the show for the oozaru's(they sounded like a dying dinosaur or something), not the goofy noises the Ape's made in the last game. Lastly, let Piccolo be able to fuse with Nail, and then with Kami(who would have to be a new character), and also let Base Piccolo have a Giant form transformation(like Lord Slug, he did it against Goku in the 23rd budokai). Of course, to fuse with Kami, you would have to select "Sync with Nail Piccolo" before the fight. This would work out great if base piccolo is pretty much 23rd tenkaichi piccolo with special beam cannon for his ultimate(but he should have some attacks from Dragonball and from dbz when he fought Nappa) and giant form for a transformation. Base piccolo would be pretty weak(about the same as kid goku), fusion with Nail would make him of course slightly weaker than 3rd form frieza, and fusion with Kami(who would have to be in the game for it to work) would increase his power past super saiyan level. Online --- That's a given.
Suicide Moves --- Every Character should have one of these but as a different button configuration, so that way we don't get them mixed up for those that don't want to use it. More Story/More Characters --- So we already know we are getting at least 20 extra characters in the next title, but having more that unfold the story the way it was meant to be would be better *Cough GT Goku More Environment Effects --- When i bash someone into the ground i really want to see major ground impact, i know we can't ask for too much since this is only the PS2 and Wii but still i'm sure it can manage a few craters here and there. Chain Combo's --- This is where everyone says it doesn't live up to games like Tekken or DOA, me i'm happy with the combo's but if making it a bit easier for them will shut them up then i'm all for it. More player specific moves --- Some characters have more moves than others in the DBZ world, it's just how it is and the game should show that. eg. Goku should be able to do his Kamehameha no matter what form he is in. More balance in fighting as per the show --- I know it may make the game seem a bit easier but when i'm for example Trunks and fight Frieza it should be a simple a$$ kicking match (like in the show) i know there's not much point for it, but it will likely make up for all the hard times we encounter where we need to replay over and over again to beat. Alternate Costumes Visible --- Previously in T2 when selecting an alternate costume it would not show what they look like on the character selection screen in the new costume. It would make it a lot better if the picture in the background changed to show what the alternate costume is when selected. Continuation of Stats --- Stats for each character should continue onto the next form of character. EG. The transition of Vegeta (Scouter) to Vegeta. Health; Speed; Ki; character level etc should be carried over. Fusions --- i think that when you fuse you should have to press a random series of buttons that appear up on screen. eg like on God Of War. If you get the series of buttons wrong you become the slow flat bloated fused version (for 3 mins), if you get it right you become the energetic and much more powerful fused version (for 3 mins). -Peace Last edited by bitbydeath; 07-09-2007 at 01:51 AM. |

Hmmm...
Greater focus on the original Dragon Ball story, including: - DB costumes for Yamcha, Tien and either Kid Krillin as a seperate character or as an alternate costume if needs be. - Putting in Giran, Namu, Ninja Murasaki, General Blue, Assistant Black in the Red Ribbon Battlesuit, Akkuman, Tambourine and Drum, along with the Wii-exclusive characters from BT2 and the costumes from above would mean you'd have enough to cover all the major battles in the original series. - Most importantly, a Dragon Ball chapter in storymode, preferibly split into three or four, like GT is. There, I won't go overboard. Give me that or close to it and I'll be happy.
