(REL) concrete statues

well I just completed 20 statues. They are ready for download at:
http://osudennyrct3.com/index.php

********IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*****************

I did some reseach:
credits for the following:
venus 1 - Asnago Mario
horse 1 - Isreal Frank
Angel 1 - Ambasz Emilo
Statue - Model Anna
Shrek - Maurizio Pocci
Gazebo - Lewis d Maupin
Doplhin - Digital Image Man

It is kind of funny cause it just depends which site you look at. I found the same download by 3 different artist. I mean they can't even get it straight. So if it is ok with everyone I will conclude in just saying to whomever the artist is they should should recieve the credit for making the object. That is all I can do in all fairness. I mean when you have 3 to 4 artist claimimg the same object who do you believe?????

No offence Denny, but are these 3D models you downloaded or did you do them totally yourself? The quality is really quite good.

If it's only used once or twice, it doesn't matter. I really can't see anyone using this as a fence or something..

Still, on a low end computer, placing objects with too many polys makes the game asplode.

Memory expansions are currently extrem cheap. And to be honest ... it's interested to see, how anyone yells about the poly count, but no one build parks on smaller maps.

I have 2942MB of RAM, and run Aero Glass just fine. However, placing certain objects, like that one, cause instant crash.

Wabigbear yes I did download some from the free library and I teaked them around. But none are the same as the free library. I have no idea who they were made by. But without them these object would have not been made. So the credit must go to them but I had the get up and go to make them for our game and no one else did. That is the honest truth, I have nothing to hide, period.

Maverick2007 I sorry about your luck they work fine in my game and never crash once. I just don't what to say about that.

No problem Denny...I just wondered if you had a hidden talent for sculpting things in a 3-D program! LOL! Congrats on getting them into the game, that's hard enough itself sometimes! They look great.

Denny, I would like to have the link to the "free library". Even if tweaked" they are someone else's effort, and that, even if they are anonymous, means they should be credited FIRST, not after someone presses you on it. K?

Skipper I was going to mention but I forgot. I did not intentionally just fell to mention it. I understand fully what it feels like trust me. Like I said yes I did and I am not ashamed of it. It is free so anyone could have made them as well at no charge. I just took advantage of the tools that are there for me. I hope there is nothing wrong with that. To those people that made them I thank you and yes I used them cause they were free. Just like all the textures that people are using and not mentioning where they got them as well??????

There is nothing wrong with it at all, just state up front that you are not the entire or original creator.

This is once again a typical discussion. To be honest ... most of the released custom scenery was copyrighted by another person. And I see no difference, if I use a free model of a Shrek-Head and forget to mentioned that the creator was XY, because XY stole the design from Dreamworks in this case. I know that the Shrek-Head is from the google-shetchup library, but the original author didn't mentioned that the original design was done by Dreamworks. For me it's no difference, if you make an object yourself and based on an original design and forget to mentioned the original creator or just use FREE objects without mentioned the designer. The same rules for all that Ride-Logos, which are original copyright by the company who build the ride or what about the Mainstreet-Signs, which are original made my Disney.
I've never seen a copyright-mention about Disney in the ReadMe files of this sets.

I know from Denny, that Skipper get a lot PM's from the community about this copyright-thing. But we all know, that this community is really dishonest. I have make my own experiences in thepast. On one hand they praise your work, use it in their own parks and on the other they send an PM to the mods and yell about that someone has forget to mentioned, that he use free models.

I really would like to see one or two of this reports. I'm sure, they look like:

Hey Skipper ... Osudenny use some copyright models and don't mentioned it.

And in the signature: Please visit my UNIVERSAL STUDIOS Park with REVENGE OF THE MUMMY, BACK TO THE FUTURE etc.

But in the thread you read nothing about the copyright protected names and logos of this park.

What would you think, if I send you anytime an report, Skipper, if I read a copyrighted name in one of the threads, and the thread-starter has forget to mentioned, that all names are copyright by their owners. Normally you can't make differences in copyright laws.

If you all want to keep this community alive, you should't weigh up everything. If you have a problem with somethin' send the creator an PM, because he can help you more as a mod. Maybe he just have forget to mentioned something, which could happened without criminal intents. We all should think it over.

the operative word here is "free".

e.g.; there are a lot of free download sites with material (copywrited) by graphic artist, such as myself. if someone likes it enough to download it, it is a compliment (i know for me), that they liked it enough to download it.

there are a lot of creative people involved in RCT.

Thank you Spanky for being supportive and obsessivespider I sure hope I didn't step on your toes. If so I am sorry. If you only seen my folders. I can't remember where I get most of them I am like a pack rat. Like something - save it - never know might use it. But please understand that I did download it from a free site and yes they should recieve the credit for it. But ask me who and where?? I have no idea where I got them from. But in the futre I will mention I downloaded them and that I didn't create them myself if that is the case. Obsessivespider I don't want to rain on your parade or take any credit away from those that made it. Hopefully it is out in the open and we will not have to deal with this again.

Like a friend told me. The ones that yell the loudest is the ones that uses the objects the most and praises you each time. They are the same one that would steal from their own mother when she was not looking. All I can say is that I am straight up person and very honest. And I hate to play childish games with anyone. Life is way to short for that and I don't need to deal with it at all.

Those are very cool denny!

Oh, and for the record, a good chunk of the kiddie population here get their stuff from Google warehouse, another 'free' download site, and very few give credit to the author.

That's the reason, why they always know, if an object was taken from another site or not. They took what they need and if another person take something from their chest, they mutate in a kind of gollum.
