Icon6 [CLSD] Spice's Custom Path's

Well we have some custom paths... I kid you not! With the help from Belgabor (thank you soo much) We managed to replace the texture files on paths. I thought it would be usefull to have optional textures for your paths...

These are NOT additional paths, they are custom texture replacements. All you need to do is backup 4 files and add the new ones and boom, all done!

I will be making a bunch of them, that way you can choose wat one(s) you want.

they are not done and wont be for a wile, there still being tested...

Preview pics:

Again, thanks Belgabor for your help! It is so so apprechiated!

yes, just have to re write the texture ovls for it. you have to replace spacific files tho. you cant use the asphault texture and add it to the crazy path. its complicated, but you will get it.

Why are you always so negative towards everything?

And, they look great! Is there any chance you can square off the paths? so they're not rounded off at the edges?

No. That would require manipulation of the model ovls.

I agree with Stu. The textures look good but not much different from that of the current in-game textures. It actually looks a little more, "real-world" and doesn't quite blend in with the "RCT-world" feel of the game.

I see. Anything would be better than the queue line path style.

As for the railing texture, either something completely metal like, or something completely wood like.

Also, is it possible to make it invisible, so that it can seemlessly match your bridge set?

I see, but from my view, everyone is makeing more realistic rides, more realistic CS, animated objects, i jsut thought that we should have soem decent realistic paths..?

well im sure i can make the textre part an alpha, but the thing is it might work with my bridge set but it wont have railings on other bridges and such, I could make a variation without railings.

I plan to make low res and high res path textures, the game standard 256 and the 512 for more detail if you want it. I dont want it to be too complicated.

if i make a low res and high res, then i will have to make a no reailing low and high res, and all them adds up and its hard to keep orginised, so i might make an orignal texture with out railings. also, i will talk with belgabor about makeing additional paths, perhaps we can 1 or 2 of the most used paths. then you can use the orignal textures too.

i just test the railing texture, I changed the correct one, i will look for a reasonable texture to add

how would you do it without railings? the ingame ones do not have a alpha texture style do they? so if you put nan alpha setting on them it would just turn black wouldnt it?

The last screen looks great! If it's possible to remove the railings from the paths, as others have said, that would be perfect.

As for the queues, I would LOVE to have one with just a basic asphalt texture, much like what you have there or similar to shyguy's Main Street sidewalk pieces. It's such a pain covering all of the queue paths to get rid of that ugly tiled texture!

^^ ISnt that the one in the game?

This is incredibel, first CS, then CTR, then CFR, and now CPT(Custom path Textures)! This community, mainly Belgabor and others, have brought RCT3 o a whole new level, I wonder if Chris goes through here and sees what everyone has done?
